i have done MSc. in pharmaceutical chemistry and i also want to do phd in this subject .Please give me instruction what can i do for applying in csir net and how to quify this exam please guide me.

Anirudh Singh 8th Dec, 2020

Hi.

Congratulations on completing your Master Degree.

Now if you pursue PhD in the same field then here are a few universities that you can look into:

  • National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Mohali
  • University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chandigarh
  • Institute of Chemical Technology - [ICT], Mumbai
  • Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Science, Manipal
  • JSS College of Pharmacy, Nilgiris

When you have completed your PhD there will be job options available as Professors, Forensic Agent, Researcher etc.  within salary range 8-10 LPA

However, please consider asking your mentors regarding pursuing PhD. Because more than college, it the presiding professor(under whom you are working in PhD) that matters when pursuing PhD. Such information can only be provided in first hand and being completed Masters degree you should be well exposed to such situations.

If you have a further specific query please feel free to comment.

Best of Luck.

i am doing msc chemistry,..suggest me best books ever for gate chemistry and CSIR NET JRF chemistry. and the best way to prepare to be a topper ?? pls i dont need a link only

Shoaib Akhtar 2nd Oct, 2020

Hello divya

Since I am from the same field as yours so I did like to have a small discussion over it . Since you want to be a topper you can join any coaching institute as they will provide you better guidance and more importantly better study materials .Or you can just buy some good study materials and read them by yourself to safe the time of spending classes . Take arihant (or another publications ) previous years solved papers .Which will give you a good idea . I personally don't want to recommend books as I think you must follow the syllabus and books usually have a lot more than necessary . But obviously if you can then you can chose books .But since you are in msc I don't think you have enough time now .
