Data Scientist
Yes, definitely you can become a Data Scientist after taking PCMB in Higher Secondary. You should first target Graduation in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics related Courses followed by mastering the necessary skills and technologies like ML, Deep Learning, Data Analytics, AI and to some extent Finance and Probability, to become a successful Data Scientist.
Hello
Major job roles for data analysis careers are
Data Engineer : A data engineer is regarded as the foundation of any major company. This role requires considerable understanding of technical knowledge as a data engineer works with the data structure infra-structure of the organisation. Data engineers are usually software engineers. Data engineers are able to compile and implement database systems, composing complex queries, balancing to different systems, and establishing disaster recovery systems, rather than data analysis.
Monthly Salaries
Data Analyst : A data analyst collects, analyzes and performs statistical analyzes of the wide collection of information. They start figuring out how data can be supplied to answer questions and provide information. With the growth of computers and a growing drive towards technology development, data analysis. The database development has brought a fresh breath to the data analysts. It is the responsibility of a data analyst to take that information and use it to help the company make smarter business decisions.
Business Analyst : A business analyst evaluates a company or business domain and records, analyzes the business strategy or its compatibility with emerging technologies, its business or methodologies or structures. Business analyst serves to empower companies with the help of data analysis to enhance processes, products, services and applications. The main purpose of the business analyst is to help the company to introduce innovative technologies in a cost-effective manner by defining project or system specifications and communicating them directly to investors, facilitators and associates.

All the best
Go for 10+2 with PCM and Statistics if possible. Then you can go for BTech Data Science/ BSc Data science form different colleges. You have an opportunity to do a BSc (Research) course in Data Science at IIT MADRAS. The course is a distance course but you will get a full time degree from IIT MADRAS as well as a research experience. This can be a great opportunity for you. You should visit IIT MADRAS website to know more.
I hope my answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
Hello,
After completing MSc in physics you become a data analyst. But it's going to be hard. Because first of all you know the computer application and your basic mathematics and concept of some data organization i hope you have enough so for these related no problem occurs. You can do internship in any company as a data analyst it will be the best for you. Then you try for interview as a data scientist or data analyst. And i hope you will get your job ofcourse in reputed company as well.
All the best.
Hey!
Data science comes under Computer Science engineering and inorder to pursue that you need to do Bachelor's of technology (b.tech). To be eligible for Btech you must take non medical stream in 11th and 12 th ( PCM subjects) or you can also take computer as your optional subject so as to create base for your further course.
Thankyou
Hello There ,
For becoming a data scientist , one need to study the following courses/topics -
1) statistics/computing
2) Data Analysis
3) Data Visualization
4) Big Data management
5) Associated softwares required for becoming data scientist
6) Machine Learning Algorithms
7) Deep learning and reinforcement learning
Data Scientist earn a very good salary , although it is hard to predict a definite range , but the earning potential is good .
Hope it Helps
Hello student!
Students from any background can become a data scientist whether its Mathematics, Statistics, CS, Economics or Arts but you must be very prompt in analytical skills.
So you have BSc in Mathematics, you must have exposure to Lagrange’s and Fourier Transform. You might have worked on Digital Signal Processing also. These mathematical theorems are used in Data Science frequently. When you have to design a Neural Network or a Deep Learning Algorithm based model, data scientists use transformation. You can start by learning R Language and Rstudio IDE. So, you are at advantage choosing BSc mathematics and computing. Just couple your skills with programming.
You can next go for a MSc and then Ph.D in Computer Science (or an specialization course). The specialization (or Ph.D) will give you support to expand your programmer’s side and can help you to develop a platform to offer your analysis easier to your clients. But if you just want the BSc, you can go for Stats and take online classes (Coursera, edX, udemy and DataCamp offers a lot of them) to improve your programming skills.
Wish you all the best !
hi,
see data scientist profession is a sub division of software engineering. to become a data science you must have knowledge about the statistics, statistical analysis software like ruby, perl, r programming, some of the software tools like tableue desktop, spss etc. so with out the software programming knowledge you can not become a data scientist. however you may take job as a software engineer and may grow your career and switch to data science field.
hope you may understand.
