I have locked my expected deemed universities for MBBS and KMC Manipal & Manglore for BDS as advised by you. My rank is 1,54,248. My chances of getting admission in Tamilnadu govt quota in govt Colleges is nil, govt. quota in pvt colleges for MBBS is remote. What are my options if I get DU allot?

Hey,

If you are allotted the chosen colleges in the first round of counselling, then you can either join the college and go for second round counselling or you do not join the allotted college, still you can go for second round of counselling. You can also choose not to go for second round of counselling and keep the allotted colleges. In case you want to leave the counselling, free exit is allowed in first round of counselling without forfeiture of fees.

For Deemed universities the fees structure depends upon campus and other qualities of the college but can it become less than last year if the demand is less ? can this happen?

ritikaprasad.work 25th Sep, 2020

Hey there!

The fee doesn't change like that in rhe middle of the year. Generally the fee you pay in the initial year is what you'll pe paying for the rest of the years. There might be slight deduction but that doesn't happen that often. Private universities don't really reduce their fee like that because the demand keeps fluctuating.

Hello sir i have registered for All india Medical counselling but not for Deemed Universities on 1st Nov 2020 Now i want to apply for Deemed Universities also as My neet score is 467. what should i do? Should i reset registeration ? Will they ask again for 5500 paid already??? Please help.

Ravisha 2nd Nov, 2020
If you choose deemed universities, you will surely get one, in my opinion. But then you won't be applicable for your state counselling if you've got a deemed university already as they won't give back the money you gave as security deposit. So you must choose wisely, colleges in your state may have a low fee structure than the deemed universities.

I am expecting 350-400 marks in NEET 2020 (general) . Which private/deemed universities can I get with a maximum fees of 14L/PA?

Arya M 21st Sep, 2020

Hello!

The number of colleges with fees less than 14lakh p.a. under All India Quota is rare. However I found a few colleges which demanded less than 14lakh. They are

  • Hamdard Institute of Medical Science and Research - 12,00,000 p.a.
  • Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, Mangalore - 13,10,000 p.a.
  • Rural Medical College of Pravala Loni - 12,75,000 p.a.
  • Sri Devararaj Medical College, Kolar, Karnataka - 14,50,000 p.a.

if i want to apply for private colleges of my state then should i take part in state counseling or counseling for deemed universities? can i take part just in state counseling and not all India counseling and deemed university counseling?

Hilag Shah 23rd Oct, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

If you want to take admission into a private engineering college in your state then you have to apply for the state counselling. But you should make sure that the university does not have any other entrance test like in VIT, SRM,etc. As then they have their own counselling. So I hope your query is solved.

My NEET rank is 234525 and neet score is 362. General Category. Which colleges Deemed universities for management quota do I have chances in AI counselling in Karnataka and Tamilnadu?

Trisha Bhattacharyya 20th Oct, 2020

Hello aspirant,

With your NEET score and rank in the general category, you have  a pretty low chance at getting into the government and top private institutions for MBBS and BDS programs with the All India Quota Seats (15%). Since Karnataka is your domicile state, you will be able to get reputed colleges using your State Quota Seats (85%) but a  little difficult to get into colleges in Tamil Nadu.

In management quota, here are the colleges in Karnataka that you will be able to get into with your rank:

  1. Navodaya Medical College, Raichur
  2. K.Venkataramana Gowda Medical College and Hospital, Dakshina Kannada
  3. Srinivasa Institute of Medical Research Center, Mangalore

The above list is based on cutoffs from pervious years and isn't exact. To know about the list of colleges that you will get into, kindly use the NEET UG college predictor tool below:
