Hello
This is the eligibility criteria :
Good strategies to get a good rank in GATE :
1) Get the syllabus of your trade and collect the previous year pattern of your paper and from there identify the subjects which comprises of maximum marks in paper every year.
2) Start with tge subject that comprises of MAXIMUM marks to the subject withLEASTmarks.
Usually it has been noticed that in every branch there are 4-5 subjects which comprises of 45-50 marks totally. So you should target those subjects firstly and once you are done with these subjects switch on to APTITUDE AND ENGG. MATHEMATICS .
3) Revise every subject atleast once in a week because if you dont revise the subjects frequently you would soon forget the subjects.
4)Make a separate notebook for formulas and just revise through that because the most important part of gate are formulas. Some questions are easiky solvable but students forget the formula because of which they those marks even in easiest question.
5) Join a good test series.. May be ACE ACADEMY OR MADE EASY TEST SERIES( Ace test series is more relevant to gate pattern but actual competition is reflected in MADE EASY tests)
6) In last 30 days just solve previous year question papers, give tests daily(FULL syllabus) and revise formulas.
thankyou, i hope it helps, feel free to approach for further queries.
Hello Madan
As far as i know, the eligibility criteria for DRDO and ISRO is 65% in btech and it is not considered as a second division. I have seen many people with 66% in Btech and doing job in ISRO. Many colleges provide marks on the CGPA basis which is bit different than percentage.
hi!
You can very well join DRDO after doing your B.Sc in physical science with chemistry
Apply for CEPTAM under your relevant Post Code and Subject, prepare for the examination, get through and join DRDO as a Senior Technical Assistant-B.
There are several sub branches of DRDO like Defence institute of bioenergy Research which also have undergraduates as their JRF and several Msc/Mtech students as SRF or other research fellow.
There is enough number of vacancies for the candidates who posses B.SC degree in science particularly in physics, chemistry or maths. There is no such a criteria that only an engineering graduate can go in DRDO.To your surprise, even the candidates possessing a diploma in respective fields can go to DRDO as Senior Technical Assistant.
