sir neet marks 332 any dental colleges in OBC category of all India

akashkumarpati.2000 9th Nov, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

At first congratulations and best wishes for your result. I am afraid to say with this marks your chances to get government colleges are almost zero through All India counselling for 15% seats. You can still try in state counselling for remaining 85% seats. Different state counselling cut offs vary from each other.

One thing keep in mind is that the cut-off marks will definitely get increased on account of increasing of the several important factors responsible for determining the qualifying marks.  You have not mentioned your state. You must mention that for us to answer precisely. You must go for your respective state's counselling. Though despite being OBC category canditate your admission chances are quite difficult for you in there also for government colleges. However you can get easily many private dental colleges.

can I get a government dental College with 473 Marks in neet 2020 as Im from west Bengal and genarel category.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 29th Sep, 2020

With a score of 473, your rank might be approximately between 90825-99323 . This is an expected rank range: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-result-marks-vs-rank . Now regarding the Colleges that you may have a shot at, you might get a Government Quota seat in any of the Private Medical Colleges because in 2019, under State Quota, 477 was the cut off for Govt. Dental Colleges under General Category.

Having said that, this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. You haven't mentioned the State that you hold the domicile of or the Category you belong to. This is important because each State has different cut offs across Categories. For example, with this score, you might have a chance in Karnataka but not in UP. Having said that, this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. priyaankasarkar Student Expert 29th Sep, 2020

In 2019, an All India Rank of 55321 secured a seat in Harvansh Singh Dental College. That roughly translates to a score range of: 496-486. This was the cut off for General Category. So with a score of 456 and with UT Quota, you might have borderline chances. Having said that, this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. priyaankasarkar Student Expert 7th Nov, 2020

You haven't mentioned your Category and the State that you hold the domicile of. This is important for us to assess your options. But generally speaking, with a rank of 2 lakhs, you might get a seat in Management Quota of Private Medical Colleges and their fees is quite exorbitant. For a complete list of colleges that you may have a shot at, please use our College predictor: https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer .

i expected this time i will score 320 mark in neet under sc category from tamil nadu. is there any chance i will get into the gov dental college?

Heena GJ 28th Sep, 2020

Hi

With this score, your rank would be between 213657-228146. As cut off varies every year it is difficult to predict about the seat. The expected cut off for 2020 in SC category is 598-118. So you may or may no get seat. As cut off depends upon the no of students appeared, qualified, difficulty level of exam, last year's cut off .

The last year's cut off for it was 133-107 .
