Is kalinga dental clg good for mds?what about stipend

Fiza Student Expert 4th Mar, 2019

Hey Mounika,

Talking about kalinga institute of dental sciences, bhubaneswar, the infrastructure of the college is very good. The nine departments in the college are very big and well maintained. The building is well equipped with fire extinguisher. Each department has their OPD. The library is well organised and equipped with centralised air-conditioning and a digital library. The facilities like computer and Wi-Fi are provided. The faculty members are well known and reputed. Each department has HOD. The facility members are from various parts of India. The teachers are helpful and kind. They listen to the students and try to help them in the academics and as well as in personal life. There are no placements but an internship for 1 year, which offers stipend of Rs 10,000 per month.

All the best!

Faizan Salim 16th Feb, 2019

Hii

The salaries mentioned in the articles are usually per annum salaries. But if you could specify where is it mentioned then i would be able to clarify your doubt in a better way.
But generally its about per annum when are are discussing about the range of salary one could expect from a particular job types or after pursuing a particular course.

Thanks!

Sir my friend has got 48,48,55,63 in chemistry, physics, biology and English respectively is she is eligible to give neet exam.

Naufal Mohamed 12th Dec, 2019
Dear Shakeela,
Firstly, English wont be a criterion for writing NEET.

According to cbse the following are the mean score percentage in physics, chemistry and biology(CBSE boards) for eligibility of appearing in NEET:

1) 50% for General category
2) 40% for SC/ST/OBC
3) 45% for General PH
4) 40% for SC/ST/OBC PH

In your case the percentage happens to be 50.33%.
So your friend will be allowed to write NEET.

Is it better to do a post graduate diploma course or an MBA? Looking to specialise in healthcare and hospital management as I am a dentist

Shivani Poojari 6th Feb, 2019

Hi Anjana Santhosh

Let me make you clear that there is no much difference between MBA degree and Post Graduation Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Indian contect. According to Indian law nly a University or all the colleges which are affiliated to a university can provide MBA degree. Remaining autonomous institutions like IIM's, private B-schools, etc can only provide Diploma in Post Graduation certificate to their students after the completion of two year post graduation program.

MBA is a course where we can find people from different technical and non technical backgrounds and we can also see people with medical background pursuing MBA after their medical practice or their education. In B- Schools we come across different sets of pets with various backgrounds who add value and complement each other during the class discussions.

MBA in Hospital Adminstration:

People with medical background usually like to choose this program because they can learn Hospital adminstration skills during their MBA program and they can improve the efficiency of the organization they are working for.

Eligibility :

Applicants must have a minimum of 50% marks in their Bachelor's degree from a recognised university and they have to satisfy the individual exam criteria for each and every institute which is offering this course.

Top Institutes offering MBA in Hospital Adminstration are:

  • AIIMS, New Delhi - avg fee per year: INR 1,563
  • Armed Forces Medical College, Pune - avg fee per year: INR 64,400
  • Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune - avg fee per year: INR 1.3 lakhs
  • University of Calicut, Calicut - avg fee per year: INR 3,378
  • Amity University, Noida - avg fee per year: INR 2.38 lakhs
  • Manipal University, Manipal - avg fee per year: INR 1.78 lakhs
  • The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR University, Tamil Nadu - avg fee per year: INR 3,000
  • SRM University, Kancheepuram - avg fee per year: INR 62500

All the Best!!!

How many Marks are required in Neet to get B.D.S from a good private college with low fees structure

Dr.Debtanu Banerjee 10th Jan, 2019
BDS with low fees as well as it being a private college is quite difficult in India at the present scenario
if you want to get BDS atlas I would ask you to try to M2 score in excess of 450 out of 720 and this is if you are choosing a college in your state availing the 85% state quota and in excess of 480 to 500 if you are trying to m for college outside your state of domicile
although SRM enough you universities do provide good education on dental sciences in the BDS degree and father yet I would always prefer dental government colleges above private colleges and would ask you to fulfill the above criteria to get into a dental college of your choice is dentistry is your forte

Can a dentist do biomedical engineering

Anmol Vig 8th Jan, 2019

Hi Sneha. Being a dentist is totally different from biomedical engineering. But there is no hard and fast rule that a dentist can't do biomedical engineering. One has to clear the required entrances/exams and fit in the eligibility criteria for the course of biomedical engineering, and then one can do biomedical engineering easily.

how many time spend to complete

mahimadogra_6929406 Student Expert 24th Nov, 2018

Hey.

You require to complete a BDS course in order to become a dentist at first. The duration of BDS course is 4 years of study and 1 year of internship. If you want to specialise further after completion of BDS you can pursue MDS degree too which requires around 2-3 years.

Best of luck
