Hello aspirant!
No I am sorry to tell you that once you choose the degree of BDS, it is impossible to get upgraded to MBBS degree. It is not like changing a branch in Engineering. If you choose the dental career, you will not be able to become a doctor. I hope this information was helpful!
I wish you all the very best!
Dentistry is something that has been experiencing a growing demand from the past 7 years. The living standards of people are growing, people have started to care about their health more than ever the next 5 years at least 45 percent of teenagers will be caring much about their looks and dental health.
Most of the countries have got ample supply for the demand being produced except in countries where people don't have dental health as a priority, as there are many countries where people are much busy in surviving the harsh competition…
End of the day, going through BDS isn't enough. It's only the combination of divergent skills and observing if people are have capability to pay you… are going to produce the upside.
Hi Aayushi,
I hope you are doing good. Now coming to your query, Dear you didn't mention your category So next time please make sure you provide all necessary details in the query itself. Nevertheless, As per the 2018 cutoff to get a seat in Govt college of Dentistry, Indore unless you belong to ST category it is very difficult to get a seat with 1,51,720 rank because of Govt College of Dentistry, Indore for OC is 37490, OBC is 28127, SC is 82237, ST is 175743. So I think you could try for Private dental colleges. But remember cutoff changes every year based on several factors.
I hope this helps.
All the best.
Thank you.
Hello Meera,
The best college in my opinion is none other than Maulana Azad Institute Of Dental Sciences, New Delhi because it gives a very good environment for students to study and explore the BDS field by giving a very good faculty for student as the faculty is very cooperative so the students don't feel any tension studying over here.
I hope my answer have helped you and hope you do well in future.
Hi Amirdasha,
First of all congratulations on achieving being successful in completing the NEET UG exam.
Few basic details about Sri Aurobindo College of Dentistry in Indore. It is regarded as one of the best private dental colleges in Madhya Pradesh.
Total Seats - 100 with 15 under All India Quota and 85 under State Quota.
As per a few sources, the required cut-off marks in previous years have been around 118 to qualify for counselling for the above college.
So, given the trends in the previous years, you can expect the cutoff to be around 115-125 marks this year depending upon the difficulty of the paper, no. of students applying for the counselling and seats present.
I hope this answers your question and wish you the best of luck for the upcoming counselling season. In case of any further doubts, feel free to revert back.
Hello aspirant,
Your profile mentions that your state is telangana so according to the last year's cutoff you won't be able to get admission in a government medical or dental college in telangana with that score.
Also if you want a government seat for BHMS or BAMS you need to score a minimum of 360 marks if you belong to general category.
But you can surely get a semi government college. Also if you belong to some reserved category then you can also get a government seat for BAMS or BHMS.
Thank you
