which has more scope for doing mba ? distance education in business school or regular mba college

Anushka Baisoya 27th Nov, 2021

Hello. I hope you are doing fabulous.

According to your question,I would like you to do MBA from a good college like IIMs and Other good B schools so that you can get a good Job with handsome salary. Attending distance colleges are never a good Idea untill your college is far away and you cannot afford to go there because this won't participate in your holistic development. There will be no interaction with your batchmates in offline mode and being on laptop or mobile technology could even harm you sometimes.

pdwords Student Expert 26th Nov, 2021

Hello,

If you are pursuing graduation in distance mode from a recognized university, then your degree is valid, and you can definitely appear for CDS exam provided you meet other criteria as well as follows-

Indian Military Academy:

  • Passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university
  • Age limit to be between 19 to 24 years along with unmarried status

Air Force Academy:

  • Passed bachelor's degree in engineering  or bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with physics and mathematics at 10+2 level
  • Age limit to be between 19 to 24 years along with unmarried status.

Indian Naval Academy:

  • Passed bachelor's degree in engineering from any recognized university
  • Age limit to be between 19 to 24 years along with unmarried status.

Officer's Training Academy(Men):

  • Candidates need to pass graduation in any discipline from a recognized university,
  • Age limit to be between 19 to 25 years along with unmarried status.

Candidates in their final year of graduation too are eligible to apply provisionally provided there are no backlogs and they can show the proof of the qualifying examination within the prescribed time frame,

hence with BCA you are eligible for IMA/OTA and in case you had studied mathematics at 10+2 level then only for Air Force Academy,

Indian Navy Academy isn't possible as its eligibility criteria is BTech.

Hi, can one give M.Com part 1 both semesters exam together if we enrolled through distance education because I am working overseas and it would be difficult to come to Mumbai for each semester separately??

pdwords Student Expert 26th Nov, 2021

Hello,

IGNOU has its international study centre, though you haven't elaborated much in which country you're in currently, but if choose to enroll in IGNOU then you can perhaps give the exam in your current city also if it has study centre of IGNOU, and the university does offer flexibility, and its master degree duration are of two years, so there are only one exam in one year, and in case you wish to appear for all the subjects at once, you can do so in the second year too, but yes you have to do re-registration in due time, and also submit the assignments in timely manner.

can I pursue Bsc physics as distance education and M Ed as regular course at same time

Sudeshna Dutta 1st Nov, 2021

Yes, you may combine the two courses to get a bachelor's and a master's degree.

After meeting the prerequisites for both degrees, you are permitted to pursue a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Science as a combined degree program.

Following the "Indian Express" story with the title "Students may now pursue two degree courses at the same time" reveals that UGC has finally granted students the go-ahead to pursue two degree programs concurrently.

Students may now enroll in a traditional full-time degree program from the same university or another school and pursue an extra degree program in open/distance learning mode at the same time. You may combine an MSc with a B.Ed. degree.

I really hope this has been of assistance to you.

If you have any more questions, please leave them in the comment section below.

thanks

Wishing you the best of luck!

I am planning on doing MBA in HR and MBA in International business one in distance education and one full time which one should I do full time and is combination good for jobs in abroad and in india ?

Hajara Najeeb 7th Dec, 2021

Hi aspirant,

Both of the options you put forward are great in terms of the subjects and needs they cater to and the career options assigned with them. There are various universities and colleges providing programmes in both of them. As human resource is a more practical and much more interaction and experience - oriented I would suggest you to do a full - time course on that.

All the best!
