Am from Hyderabad. passed SSC through supplementary exams. my age is 18 years completed. can I JOIN Degree( BA ) through distance education ?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 20th Jun, 2020

Hello,

The minimum qualification required to get admission in BA is 10+2. You have not mentioned if you have passed in intermediate or not. The essential requirement to get admission in IGNOU is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized board to get admission in BA. There is no upper age limit. If you have not passed in 10+2 then you need to pass Bachelor’s Preparatory Programme (BPP) from IGNOU to study BA in distance mode.

I have passed diploma in chemical engineering from RGPV Bhopal I want to do distance education B. tech in chemical engineering through register university because I am working oil gas company can I get it

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 23rd May, 2020
Hello,

You can pursue B.tech through distance mode because the distance B.Tech degree will not add any value to your career as these degree will not help you to get Governments jobs nor it will gibe you amy push in private sector. The best in distance learning is IGNOU but the the say that it is a regular degree course and students who are practising another course or doing in a job cant pursue it.
So, my suggestions to you would be to peruse a B.tech from recognized university through lateral entry.

Good Luck

Yash Dev Student Expert 17th May, 2020

Hello student School of Open learning (DU) is more preferable than all the colleges mentioned by you as Delhi University is very reputed and it offers you to transfer from open college to regular college if you score well in first year.

Eligibility - candidates must passed or appearing class 12 in any stream from a recognized board.
