since the NATA examination has started students have been following a particular pattern all these years and now suddenly just because of the cause of COVID it is unfair to change the question paper pattern. How can someone judge the drawing/artistic skills of a person just by asking MCQs .

swetaasnigdhha 24th Jul, 2020
Hii Aspirant,

From past few months our country has gone through a lot of difficult situations and now too it's going through it. Even after many instructions and new rules made , the cases have been increasing. During this COVID pandemic many things have changed. Many colleges have cancelled their exams and are either giving admission on the basis of JEE marks or boards marks. Some exams are still being conducted as it would be difficult to choose the candidates for colleges without any parameters.

The papers can't be held normally as they were being held due to COVID-19. No one can judge one's drawing/artistic skills just by MCQs. And also you or any student won't be judged on the basis of your artistic skills. One parameter for judging you in exam is reduced.

It is not fair. Students have been preparing for so many exams and now either the pattern is changed or the papers have been cancelled. But nothing can be done regarding it. COVID has become a very serious affair and so to take care of it things are compromised. But don't feel disheartened, give your best and you will get a good college.

All the best

what are the important topic in drawing that can i practice for nift CAT entrance?

S. Saha Student Expert 21st Aug, 2020
The creative ability test in NIFT Entrance exam is conducted to test your Observation power, Discernment ability, Design ability and creativity in thought development. This is given more weightage than any other parts of the exam. Creative ability test is nothing but picturised manner of any incident, you can be asked to paint the room that you can see from top, express emotions through colours, any product, or illustrate any incident etc. The best way to know about Creative ability test is YouTube. You can check YouTube videos to gather ideas. But it is always advisable not to copy anything, cause you must be creative and imaginative in order to clear the test. Books like Arihant NIFT Entrance Exam Self Study Guide, NIFT Exam Guide by Verma etc you can follow to prepare for the Exam. Go through previous years' question papers so that you can get idea about which type of questions are asked. Try to solve these papers by your own. http://design.careers360.com/articles/nift-sample-papers

Hey Kalyan

Bachelors of Architecture doesn't involve only Drawing/Scenery making skills, to be good at architectural work you need to have a good Geometrical skills, that is the capability to make accurate and precise geometric figures. You need to have a good knowledge of making figures with scales and other tools. For example, making shapes and their 3-D shapes. Also practicing the figure making will make you better and soon you would be able to have good drawing skills as well.
