Yes , you can become a drug inspector even though your a PCM student but first you need to complete your Bachelor in Pharmacy to be eligible for it . Both PCM and PCB student can do Bpharm . Bpharm is a 4 year UG level course intended to train you in the pharmaceutical industry . Every year, the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts a Drug Inspector Exam for all qualified applicants interested in working as a Drug Inspector under the government organizations.

To become a Drug Inspector, you should have completed your 12th with PCB. In your case, you have opted PCBM. Yes, you can become a Drug Inspector. But first, you need to complete a four- year Bachelor in pharmacy course or Diploma in pharmacy course from a recognized institute. Only after this, you will be eligible to appear for the entrance exams for the recruitment of post of drug inspector.

Hello Aspirant. I hope you are doing good. To become a Drug Inspector, a candidate needs to fulfill some eligibility criteria prior to applying for the job.
Firstly, a candidate must complete a 4-years UG degree course on B.Pharm (Bachelors of Pharmacy) or B.Sc. in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
Secondly, a candidate may pursue and complete a 2-years PG degree on M.Pharm or M.Sc in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Pharmacology etc. (although this is not mandatory).
Thirdly, a candidate is expected to have a 3 years (or 18 months) experience in manufacturing or testing of Schedule C or C1 drugs in pharmaceutical industry. (This criteria is preferred by UPSC although this is not essential for most of SPSC jobs).
After writing the exam conducted by UPSC or SPSC as well as document verification, a medical exam is also conducted, prior to the final interview of the applicant.

Yes, you can give drug inspector exam after BAMS.
Drug inspectors are selected through the entrance examinations which is conducted every year at state level by state government and at national level by the UPSC. The eligibility criteria required to apply for drug inspector exam are as under:-
1. The candidate should have degree in pharmacy or pharmaceutical sciences or medicine with specialization in clinical pharmacology or microbiology from a recognized university or must hold equivalent pharmacy degree which should be from PCI approved college .
2. The candidate should have a minimum of 18 months experience in the manufacturing field.
3. The candidate should be a citizen of India.
4. The candidate age limit must be in between 21 years to 35 years. There is relaxation in upper age limit by 5 years for the reserved category candidates.

MPSC conducted different exams.Some of them which are named by post such as PSI,STI,Asst. are only for that pist only. But MPSC conducted State Service Exam each year which give posts of class 1 and class 2 officers and also other different posts.

Some state authorities has a requirement of 18 months work experience of production or quality testing of schedule c drugs while some of the states do not have this requirement any experience.
It is possible to become drug inspector even after B. pharm after clearing exam.
you have to check your respective state for eligibility before applying it. To become a drug inspector, candidates are required to go through a selection process conducted by the UPSC and/ or SPSCs. The recruitment to the position of Drug Inspector is conducted by UPSC and also various state PSCs on an annual basis.

UPSC's and SPSC's conduct written exam for the posts of drug inspector every year you will have to appear and qualify for it alongwith personal interview to become a drug inspector.
The written exam consists of 2 parts
1) pharmacy 100MCQs - 200 marks - 2 hr duration.
2) General Knowledge 50 MCQs - 50 marks - 1 hr duration.
