For the post of a  drug inspector first of all you must get through the written test , viva voice and physical fitness test . And then along with these you need to have an experience of at least 3 years in the manufacturing field .

1. Complete your 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subjects.
2. Post 12th class, you need to take some kind of entrance exams by various state governments and pharmacy institutes for admission to Bachelor of pharmacy course or Diploma in pharmacy course. The examination consists of objective multiple choice type of questions from the relevant subjects and is usually held in the month of May to June. To be a drug inspector the qualifications are:

• You should have passed B.pharma.
• You must have at least 18 months of experience in manufacturing of at least one substance specified in schedule C;OR
• You must have at least 18 months experience in testing of the substance in Schedule C in an approved testing laboratory;OR
• You must gain an experience of at least of 3 years in the inspection of a firm's manufacturing unit of any substance of Schedule C.

The recruitment to the position of Drug Inspector is conducted by UPSC and also various state PSCs on an annual basis. Aspirants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or its related subjects from any PCI recognized University. One should have a minimum of 18 months experience in the manufacturing field.

You must be a graduate with a degree in B. So, if you have a bachelor's degree in pharmacy, you can appear in the exams conducted for Drug Inspector vacancies.

In the central and state enforcement agencies, the basic educational qualification for the post of drug inspector is degree in pharmacy. From now on, this area can also be made a professional field of Pharm D holders.
