Greetings dear aspirant
Firstly, congrats on successful completion of your SRMJEEE Examination. The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. Getting a CSE seat is getting highly tough these days as the demand is very much. But, with a rank around 19,000, you cannot secure a CSE or CSE with any specialization in SRM KTR Campus as the closing rank was around 9,500 - 10,500 for CSE core branch in SRMJEEE 2016. So, just apply to their other campuses and you curecan secure a seat in any branch of your choice easily.

Hey,
I am answering the question seeing the current trends.
To be very honest the job or placement prospect in mechanical branch is not that good currently as compared to the electronics and computer science branch.
The students of Mechanical engineering are themselves working in other branches and that makes it pretty obvious that you should not be going with mechanical branch.
The computer science branch is in huge demand and will definitely help you grab a good placement so I will suggest that your daughter should go for Electronics and computer science in KIIT rather than mechanical in VIT, Chennai.
Hope that helps.
All the very best.
Thank you.

Yes, I believe AIT Pune is one of the best Technical Institutions in Pune City at par with COEP, MIT and VIT Pune. The institutions beaides having great placements for ETCE, also has excellent faculty, infrastructure and research facilities. Being located near Technology and Manufacturing Hubs of Pune and nearby Pimpri Chinchwad & Chakan, provide huge scope and impetus to training, projects and placements.

Dear aspirant,
Delhi technological University is one of the best colleges in Delhi and it does have a brand name and if I go by the branch civil. It has bit average placements. Actually leaving IITs/some nits civil branch does not have encouraging placements anywhere. Infrastructure and faculty of DTU is very good. All facilities for students are available there.
As far as Army institute of technology is concerned electronics and communication branch here is very good in terms of teaching and placements. So, this is a better option than DTU.
So, AIT pune would be a better one.
