Hello!
Applied Electronics and Instrumentation is a advanced concept in Engineering when compared to that of Electronics and Instrumentation. Most of the subjects will be same for these two courses, there will be difference only in couple of subjects. When it comes to scope and placements both will have more or less equal opportunities. AEI have more advanced concepts than EIE. Applied electronics and instrumentation have more theory than Electronics and instrumentation. ALL THE BEST. Hope the answer was helpful.
Thank You
Hello Aspirant,
As per my knowledge Dyal Singh college is more preferable in terms of placements and faculty . Around 8% of students from BSc Phy. Science got placed last year from Keshav Mahavidyalaya and from Dyal Singh college from B.Sc. in computer science (Hons), about 68% of the students were placed.
In terms of Faculty both the colleges have highly qualified and mostly were professors and assistant professors.
Hope it helped !!!

Hello,
The cut off for the course varies according the college as well as your category. One of the best engineering colleges in Kerala having a course in Applied electronics and instrumentation is College Of Engineering Trivandrum(CET). Assuming you are from the general category, it would be difficult for you to get a seat for applied electronics and instrumentation in CET, since the cut off for general rank for the year 2019 was 2569. However you can look for other colleges having the same course for the next rounds of allotment. Some of the colleges where you have a chance of getting a seat for applied electronics and instrumentation is:
Rajagiri College Of Engineering And Technology, Kochi
College Of Engineering, Chengannur
LBS Institute Of Technology For Women, Thiruvananthapuram
Federal Institute Of Science And Technology, Ernakulam
Hope this helps you
