In Electronics & Communication and Electronic & Telecommunication , Which steam is better and why ?

Shakti Swarupa Bhanja 15th Oct, 2020

Hello student, hope you are doing well!

There is very little difference between ECE and Telecom engineering, to be honest. If you go through the syllabus of Telecommunication engineering of a reputed state college, you will see the curriculum is almost similar compared to that of ECE. Both branches have programming electives as well as core electives. There might be one or two communication subjects extra in telecom engineering.

Electronic and Communication Engineers can join the job market of almost any other engineering field. Whereas, the rest of the engineers can opt only restricted job options in their field. The fact is clear that ECE does have a lot of scope. So, my opinion would go for ECE if you get a good college for it.

Read the article below to know about the best colleges for B.Tech ECE in India:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/colleges/list-of-electronics-and-communication-engineering-colleges-in-india

On the other side, a electronics and telecommunication engineer is reliable for constructing and supervising the building of telecommunications equipment and facilities. So, you will have more opportunities in the telecom field only. But if you are getting telecom engineering in better college(with good faculty and placement) than the one which you get for ECE, then go for Telecom engineering. The reason is the top electronics companies will come only for top colleges. Good colleges have many elective options. And that will serve you many benefits.

mechanical in iit karagpur Vs electronics in iit Varanasi. which should be preferred now a days

U. Janani 20th Nov, 2020

Hey Murthy!

IIT Kharagpur has quite a explicit infrastructure when compared to that of IIT Varanasi. It has huge libraries, laboratories, cafeteria, gym, Wi-Fi enabled campus, hostel, convinence store, etc,. Whereas IIT Varanasi has mostly the same except Wi-Fi enabled campus and convinence store.

JEE Main and JEE Advanced are accepted in both Colleges for admission. The total fee structure (4 years) in IIT Kharagpur is Rs. 8.34 lakhs and in IIT Varanasi is Rs. 8.62 lakhs.

The placements here are mostly equal. They have been rated out of 5 by the on-studying students of those Colleges. Both the Colleges have got 4.8 for placements. They get top IT and Core Companies like Infosys, CTS, TSC, Wipro, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, etc,. The median salary the former is Rs. 14.20 lakhs/year and that of the latter is Rs. 13.60 lakhs/year.

Hope this is helpful!

Csab round means special vacant seat feeling round or special round for feeling the vacant seat in in NIT, IIET, IIITS but not for IITs, contacted by CSAB means Central Seat Allocation Board Authority.

You can get your choice of subject electronic and instrumentation in Silchar NIT according to your rank and cut off which is is almost parallel for the last year cut off rank according to category.

which bsc is best to do research in India which bsc has good scope and value what are the govt jobs especially for bsc chemistry, physics ,maths , electronics and computer science among this which subject students has more opportunities and scope

Subhrajit Mukherjee 18th Nov, 2020

As you are a research oriented student then the thing that you should focus on is your interest.

The subjects you have mentioned have their respective field as well as interdisciplinary field. For example Indian have been trying to start development of Quantum Computing. Now in this scenario you can see that the project need Physicist , Computer scientist , Mathematicians , Scientist specialized in (Solid state physics [which can be pursued by Physicist , Chemist , Engineers ]) etc to do so.

India is developing its research facilities with time to time and thus you will have a good scope for research in any subject but the scope can't justify your interest. So you should find out your area of interest and pursue. While pursuing you go through a number of subjects and teachers and thus you will keep growing interest in the field and that will give you a proper vision about your proper expertise you want to pursue.

I hope my answer will give you a scenario. Wish you a great career ahead.
