YES, you can definitely crack CAT exam, if you have the ability and determination to do so. Your class 10th and 12th marks don't matter. Only matters is your determination and hard work in giving the CAT Examination.
To be eligible in CAT Exam : the candidate has to pass at least their Bachelor's degree with at least 50% (for General Category and for candidates from the NC-OBC caste) . For SC/ST and Differently Abled (DA) candidates, the percentage required is 45%.
Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) category candidates need 45% marks in graduation . Candidates in final year of Graduation are also eligible to apply for CAT 2021. Candidates who have completed professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA) with 45% marks.

You will get different answers from different person as the answer to this question totally depends on the interest of the students ,but if you asking on the basis of placement then Computer science engineering (CSE) is the best branch as it provides highest average placement and if you have good coding skills you can get very high placement , other famous branches are ECE , Mechanical , Mathematics and Computing etc .

If you are persuing engineering even from a average Colleges then also you can get a decent job in your life. Yes, you have to do hard work at the starting of your job at low pay scale but after you get experience of 2-3 years you can get job in big companies. So don't believe in this fake news. There is a lot of scope for a good engineer in India.

The eligibility criteria for for junior system engineer in DHBVN is passed BTech or BE in IT/Computer/ECE, or those with MCA or MSc in IT/Computer Science/ Applications/Electronics and Communication with 60% aggregate, along with knowledge of Hindi language till metric level is needed, you need to have pursued at least MCA from a recognized university securing 60% aggregate if you have pursued BCA, in order to be eligible regarding the post in DHBVN if you have not done BTech/BE in the relative domain.
