I am studying in 12 th science PCMB. Now I want to be a software engineer.what should I do now to get success ?

Aditya 23rd Oct, 2021

Hi aspirant,

It is very nice to hear that you will be pursuing a career in software engineering and being from same domain I can give you the best suggestions regarding it. If you want to get amazing packages and offers you need to to build your programming skills from as early as possible. During the four years of your engineering you will come across several languages which will include python, Java, c ,c plus plus JavaScript and many more. So you should start learning either python or java which act as the basic languages from now onwards so that you will have better understanding of algorithms and syntax of core programming. Once you will understand it it will be much much easier for you to do programming in other languages as well because you will get familiar to the algorithm and later you can start learning front end or backend development whichever you want to prefer.

Though there is enormous job opportunities in IT sector but the competition for higher level jobs and good packages is is used. So you need to sharpen your skills very well  so that you could compete with others. It is not necessary that you will have to give three hours daily but make sure you practice at least 30 to 45 minutes per daily, starting from free resources like YouTube and geeks for geek.

Hope it helps!!

Core or specialization? what are subtopics in it and what do they teach?and whats important for Robotic engineer core or specialization in ECE?

Aashiketa 2nd Nov, 2021

Hi, in core you get to study overall subjects related to the branch you have taken up. In specialization you will have to study deeply about the degree you have chosen. For Robotic engineer core is the better option if you don't have a specific degree in your mind. Below are few questions that you can answer for yourself to find a better and the most optimum branch.

  1. What subject am I passionate enough about to study for the next two to seven years of my life?
  2. What type of course should I choose to have the career that I want? (which leads to the question: What career do I want!?)
  3. Which specific degree course is the best one for me?
  4. Where do I want to live for the next two to seven years of my life?

Hope this helps.

I am going to be a B-tech student in electrical branch (or electronics, waiting for further allotments) . I barely remember the topics in maths as I was a neet aspirant for two years.moreover,I was a bio student in plustwo and dont have any idea in computer science. How should I prepare myself now?!

Aashiketa 21st Oct, 2021

Hi, you do not have to sweat over it so much as everyone who enters this field will have a rusty mind when it comes to studies because of big vacation gap. If you wish to prepare yourself for the basics you can find them on YouTube. Basics like differentiation, Integration and Matrices will be there in your first 4 semesters. You do not have to go for GATE level questions just take out your 12th math book and start from there only that much is needed. Your faculty members will guide you anyway. For electrical or electronics you should know some basics of physics that you were taught in 12th. Hope this helps. If you still have doubts please feel free to comment.
