Engineer
Hey
To become a civil engineer, the first step is to pass their 10+2 in science with physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects with the minimum aggregate. Then you can apply for the entrance examinations like JEE Main,JEE Advanced, BITSAT, SRMJEEE etc for admission into top institutes. There is also an option of pursuing a diploma in civil engineering for those who do not want to pursue Bachelors degree or want to gain some expertise before pursuing it.After completing the Bachelor's programme, candidates can opt for a Master's programme in under to get a better understanding of the field and learn a few more advanced concepts in the career as a civil engineer.

Hello student,
All the engineering branches that you have mentioned are required for building and developing successful robots. Each branch have their own unique role in the robotics industry such as programming is done by CSE engineers, hardware and embedded programming by ECE engineers, the mechanical components by Mech engineers and the wires and the connections done by the Electrical engineers. Now it depends on you inclination towards the various subjects and aspects of the different branches. However, I still recommend you to not take electrical engineering as it has the least preference in the robotics industry. After completing B.Tech in any one of the degree, you can later specialize in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
I hope this helps, All the Best!
Dear student,
you need to have maths as a subject too in 12th only then you can go for BCA(Bachelor's in Computer Applications). Moreover, some colleges give admission to medical background or arts background too. You can enquire from the respected college you wanti enroll. Generally its is not possible. If you had computer as one of the subjects in your class 12th, yes then you definitely can pursue BCA. Feel free to drop any such queries.
All the Best!!
Hi Aspirant!
There is either Computer Science and Engineering or Computer Science and Information Technology course. Both these courses have some similar concepts like basic learning of programming languages : C, C++, java, javascript, etc. Then, in further years students are taught depending on their specializations. But for placements, companies open vacancies for both branches for the job profile of software engineer. It just depends on the knowledge and skills of candaidates.
Hope I answered your query, thankyou!
Hello,
Both fields have great future. And they have common areas too such as embedded systems.
Mechatronics consists of 4 different fields which are Mechanical engineering, electronics, control systems, and computer programming. For example, robotics is a Mechatronics field cause a robot if you think of it, consists of these 4 mentioned fields. Advantage of Mechatronics that you can work in any of these 4 fields on its own like you can be a mechanical engineer or control engineer. So, it gives you many career choices. For me, I’m gonna graduate this year from Mechatronics and I have intention to be an embedded SW systems engineer.
For Computer Engineering, There’s huge potential and opportunities in this huge umbrella cause from CE you can specialize in:
Embedded Systems
AI(Machine Learning)
Big data & Data Science
Software Development such as:
Mobile Apps
Web Development
Game Development
Autonomous Cars (Automotive industry as well Mechatronics Enginer)
Robotics
IOT(Internet of Things) which is a superset of embedded Systems
So, Whether you go for this or that, you won’t regret it at all because:
1- Both of them have a huge future potential.
2- There are a lot of common fields between them.
I was in the same dilemma 4 years ago and If I didn’t choose Mechatronics, I would have chosen CE
If you don’t like mechanical and control, Go for Computer Engineering.
Dear candidate your skills and experience will play an influential role in the future and not your percentage so have faith on your skills and experience. And you should surely apply for the masters in the top universities of USA even there are many entrance exams organised by the universities of USA for admission in masters.
Yes surely. B.T ech is the best course of you want to pursue. There are just some small ifs and buts attached to it that's it.
Depends if you are going for Computer Science and Info Tech. You can have a job in IT sector and probably shift to Bengaluru or somewhere in South. If you are lucky enough. You will get a job in MNC with approx 3–4 lacs package.
If you are into any other branch like EEE, EC, Mech, Civil, Chemical. You will end up learning IT courses and end up in IT sector (if you are lucky enough and good with coding.
Hope for the best.
Thank you.
Hi,
I hope you are doing well.
If you wish to pursue your undergraduate degree in the area of robotics then following are the course and specialisation you could opt for as they are connected with robotics area :-
1. Btech in electrical, mechanical or computer science field and then when given an option you could opt for specialisations as all these areas have their own set of contributions in the area of robotics.
2. Btech in robotics.
3. Btech in automation and robotics.
4. Btech in mechatronics.
5. Bachelor of engineering in advanced robotics.
I’ll also be sharing a link below which will provide you with a well framed and a complete detailed information about this area.
