which optional subject is scoring for upsc for an engineer student?

Aditya kumar singh 26th Sep, 2021
Hi
First if you have done engineering from core branches then choose them as your optional subject as you have studied it in your graduation and it will certainly help you but if you are looking for any other subject choose it on basis of your interest this is most important because you don't know how long it will take you to clear this exam so choose a subject that you can study for long hours and duration. Generally other subjects chosen by engineer's are sociology, public administration, geography and anthropology.
Hope it helps .....

aswathypadinjakkara 25th Sep, 2021

Hi

To become an engineer you have to pursue the computer science fields as degree. For admission into btech in reputed institutes in india you can either attend the national entrance exam JEE or state level entrance exams. Then gain your knowledge in programming languages, strengthen your skills, do internships then look for job opportunities.

did I get good college for 128255 for the Engineer rank

gurukiranmoger 25th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

To be honest a rank that is above 1,00,000 in KCET exam can be treated as a low score . With this low rank you may not get the branch you want but there are some colleges which accepts the rank above 1lakh so you can try for that colleges. If you got some reservation you may also get some better college than the below mentioned.

Based on 2020 data some colleges which accepts above 1 lakh KCET rank are mentioned below :-

  1. Govt. Engineering college Hassan - Civil Engineering
  2. CMR University Chalagatti, Bengaluru - Information Technology
  3. GITAM school of Engineering  - Computer Science
  4. East-west college of Engineering , Bengaluru - Aeronautical Engineering
  5. Presidency University Bengaluru - Electronics Engineering
  6. Reva universty bengaluru -Civil And Electrical
  7. Govt. Engineering college Karwar. -Civil Engineering

Aashiketa 2nd Nov, 2021

Hi, the eligibility criteria for getting into engineering is that you need to have 45% in PCM aggregate. So, as long as you manage to get it done there is nothing to worry about. For getting into aeronautical engineering you will have to give entrance exams as per your choice. If you want a college in your state you can choose state level exam or JEE Mains. Hope this helps. If you still have doubts feel free to comment.
