Directly securing a Job Abroad from NITs Campus Placement is rare and that too with the Top 2-3 NITs. Off Campus Abroad Placements are there but again rare. Most of the students at NITs find secure Jobs in India itself through Campus Placements.
However, in future you may definitely get deputed to an Abroad Country by your Company on a Project or Transfer. You may even aspire going abroad for a Masters or PhD Degree followed by a Career in Industry, Research or Academia. You are payed good mich higher than Indian standards. The starting package for entry level jobs in US or UK in Industry, when converted to INR, is anywhere around 40 Lakhs. Whereas, an average indian student from NIT starts off with a Package anywhere between 7-9 LPA in India.
When you have to compare two colleges and have to arrive at a conclusion then you have to choose some of the parameters. This parameters can be a distinct number of events but to conclude this answer I am choosing some of the most important parameters like:
If you consider between these two colleges, then I would recommend you to go for UPES as UPES has better curriculum to offer. It has really very good facilities as well as very good scholarship programs. Also the infrastructure is very good in UPES compared to Curriculum. Now the faculties in both the colleges are good but in UPES you will get more specialized teachers. Apart from this UPES have better placement options. Thus if you get the course from UPES then you should go for it.

For GCET visit the link below:

I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
Hello,
If you are enquiring regarding Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow the admission from this year is based on merit in JEE Main. Earlier the admission was based on merit in UPSEEE. UPSEEE is scrapped off from this year. Since this is the first time that admission will be based on merit in JEE Main the cut off is yet to be known. As previous cut off data is not available it is quite difficult to predict the score required to get admission in IET, Lucknow. As IET, Lucknow is one of the top institutes in Uttar Pradesh the cut off is expected to be high. So a safe percentile would be in between 94-97 percentile. So you should aim to score minimum 94-97 percentile or above in JEE Main. The indicates score is an estimated score. The cut off is determined based on various factors such as total number of candidates applied for counselling, difficulty level of exam, highest percentile in merit list and total number of seats available etc. The determined cut off will be released at the end of the counselling.

Securing anywhere around OBC NCL Rank 2500-3000, you have fair chances of securing CSE at some of the Third Tier NITs (First Tier being NIT T, W, Surathkal & Second Tier NITs being MNNIT, MNIT, VNIT, NIT Rourkela, Calicut).
Some of these third tier NITs are
NIT Jamshedpur, Jalandhar, Durgapur, Surat, Bhopal, Raipur, Kurukshetra.
CSE at most of these NITs have Good Placements with a Fair share of Large, Mid and Small Cap IT/Software/Analytics Recruiters. For OBC NCL Rank in this range, you must atleast target a CRL anywhere between 13-14k, lets consider a Whole as 15k and a Corresponding Percentile anywhere around 98.5.
Hence, for atleast securing 98 Percentile and having a fair share of prospects among NITs, being from OBC Category, you must target a score anywhere above 150+/300. Youll have fair chances of securing CSE at some of the NITs be it third or fourth tier as well as ECE or maybe IT, Electrical at some of the Second Tier NITs.
For your Information, there are CSE at NITs at even lower OBC NCL Ranks, which offer somewhat good placements besides strong education like NIT Agartala, NIT Patna, NIT Hamirpur and Srinagar, as well as some Northeast NITs. Youll get these NITs, like CSE at Srinagar till OBC NCL of around 7k or corresponding CRL of about 25-26k.
Another Good Option is CSE at IIEST Shibpur, which is a GFTI. It has one of the best CSE Faculties in Eastern India after IIT Kharagpur, besides having at par placements with Other Good NITs. Till CRL 20-21k or corresponding OBC NCL 4.7k, youll manage securing even this College.
However, as far as target is concerned, you mist always aim at 98 Percentile for fair share of prospects during JoSAA Counselling.

Ranks- 1-20000- June 21-22nd
20001-45000- June 30th-1st July
45001-70000- July 7th- 8th

Hello Aspirant,
Look there is 2 case, lets discuss the first one-
1- if your home state in Tamil Nadu -
In that case you will definitely get get a CSE seat in main campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham university, for that your rank should be around 3.5k to 4.5k, here you can directly take part in counselling and get a seat without giving donation.
2- if you are from other state -
130 marks are enough to get a seat in ECE/Mechanical/electrical, but for CSE you need a marks around 140+, and if you still want CSE then go with the management quota where you can get CSE but their you have to pay large amount of donation.
Hope this will help you, Best Of Luck!!!
