Engineering and technology
Hi Priyanshu !
DRDO recruits engineers through the following :
1)Through Gate/NET
2)Through apprenticeship
3)Through their own exam sometimes
4)Through direct interview for contract basis.
Every year RAC of DRDO recruits Scientists in DRDS mostly at entry level (Scientist 'B'). However, depending on the requirements in specialized areas of research & development, limited number of scientists are also recruited in higher grades (Scientist 'C' to Scientist 'H').
Qualifying GATE is mandatory eligibility for Recruitment in DRDO. Other than that, candidates also have to appear for a written descriptive test followed by a personal interview as a part of DRDO recruitment through the GATE 2021 procedure. Candidates will be allowed to work for DRDO only after qualifying for all the stages.
The elgibility criteria goes like this:
So,As you are now pursuing your B.tech in Metallurgical Engineering,it is recommended that you start preparing for the GATE and you must have the knowledge of the above mentioned languages.
After the completion of your degree, you can apply through the DRDO official website along with your GATE score. The short-listed applicants on the basis of their GATE score and other criteria have to appear for a written test and a personal interview (PI).
All the best !! Feel free to ask if you have any more queries.
Hello student,
It's difficult to predict the exact possibilities of admission. It depends upon the lot of factors such as the number of students appeared, the number of students qualified, the exam pattern, whether you belong to any category or not. Cut-off varies from state to state.
You haven't mentioned the category you belong to. So, considering you as a general candidate it's possible to get cse. Depending upon the last year's data, you can get good nit last year the closing cutoff of NIT raurkela was 2529.
To get an better idea you can check the link mentioned below

Hi
With 92.3 percentile
Your crl rank will be around 78771 - 88550 as per our rank predictor at https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor
Your obc rank will be around 21,000- 23,000.
With your rank you have very low chances in NITs, IIITs etc, even to get into lower nits under other state your rank should have been at least around 15,000 obc rank
For example,
In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, 15340 obc rank for obc category for gender neutral for other state was the closing rank in National Institute of Technology , Nagaland which is one of the lower NITs and it was for Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
You can check the same at
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
Above prediction is on the basis of past year data but cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc so

hi...
In a core CSE branch, you will get to learn a bit of everything within the boundaries of the branch whereas in a specialization course, a particular sub-branch is focused. That sub-branch will be the main focus of your 4 years of engineering.
Hello student
In this pandamic situation no colleges or universities can Hike its fees more then previous years. Although Hiking their fees without any notice or without any legal causes then it is not acceptable for everyone on humanitarian ground. These activities of fees hike may hamper the reputation of the Institutions colleges or universities entirely. So it is not the just full action from the side of the Institutions colleges or universities because more and more people who are in the private sector employees losing their jobs and almost most of the business centre has been changed or that or has been closed down. The sources of income has been lowest this time.it is not possible for anyone to cope up with the situation and do pay hiking fees declared by the authority of the Institutions, colleges and Universities.
Hope this helps.
Hello Aspirant ,
Please make sure your question is properly framed so that we can clearly ask your question. I don't know what entrance examination you're tallking about. But regardless , most of the competitive examinations such as IIT-JEE and NEET are based on your 11th and 12th grade syllabus. Learning your concepts from 12th and practising questions based on it will surely fetch marks,
Good luck for your exams!
