Hi Bharti!
As per the previous years records, to get admission in VIT Vellore you need to get below 20000 rank in 1st phase (1st category) and 2nd category goes from 20,000 onwards. So, you might be counted as category 2 candidate and with this rank you have good chances to get CSE in Chennai. Infact, you can avail almost all the branches except CSE and IT in VIT Vellore campus.

Thankyou!
According to your son's VITEEE Rank he has chances of getting Computer Science Engineering branch in Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore. His rank is near to the previous year's cut-off range of Computer Science Engineering branch.
The cut-offs depends on many factors like number of students appeared in the exam, difficulty level of the exam, number of seats available, category, branches etc. The cutoffs varies from year to year and branch to branch and campus to campus.
Please refer below link to get more information about VITEEE cut-offs.
I hope this helps you.
Good Luck!!
Hello aspirant, for VIT you need under 5K rank for CSE branch in category 1 and under 20K rank for category 3 or 4. You have a very slim chance of getting CSE in category 5 for which you need to pay a very large fees around 5 Lakh per annum. But you should try to get admission in core branches in VIT Vellore or Chennai in category 3 or 4. For category 3 the fees is around 3.08 Lakh per annum and for category 4 it is about 4 Lakh per annum. So if you are comfortable with the fees then you should try to get a seat in core branches in VIT or according to my opinion you should try to get CSE branch in other colleges that will require a much lesser fees.
BEST OF LUCK FOR YOUR FUTURE!!
Hello dear Aspirant
Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on successful completion of your VITEEE exam. The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. With a rank near to 58,000, you cannot get CSE, ECE or IT seats in Vellore and Chennai campuses in any fee category. Whereas, you can easily secure a CS, ECE or any other seat in their Amravati (AP) and Bhopal campuses in 1st or 2nd fee categories itself as these are recently established.
VIT AP and VIT Bhopal offer many specialisations in CSE branch such as Artificial Intelligence, Cyber security and Digital forensics, Gaming Technology, Health Informatics, Networking and Security, Data Analytics, Robotics, Business Systems. These courses are future ready and have high placement opportunities. You can opt for the one you like from these specialisations.
You can have a look at the detailed cut-off statistics of the previous few years from the above link.
Hope I've cleared all your doubts!!
All the best for your future endeavours
Dear Student,
KIET is a AKTU affiliated college which is situated in Ghaziabad. To get admission in this college you need to appear for UPCET examination ( updated version of UPSEE). But the last date is also gone for UPCET. So only one option is left for you, go with the management quota, as 15% seats are reserved for the management quota students. But for CSE seat they might ask you for money in the name of donation, and if your are capable then give that money and confirm your CSE seat in KIET and please be hurry as mostly seats are already filled. KIET is a well reputed private college of AKTU where students are struggling to get admission, the average package of this college is 5-6 lacks while highest package is around 24 lacks.
Best Of Luck!!!
