Which is best iit for engineering physics?
Dear,
Indian institute of Technology is the pride institute of Nation. The facilities and the opportunities provided in the college are excellent. Almost every IIT is good. BUT for Engineering Physics IIT Bombay and IIT Madras offers better education and opportunities.
Pls suggest me HOW TO STUDY. Im in 11th Science.
Right, you are BITSAT Aspirants..Since you are class 11,so you have enough time in BITSAT examination..BITSAT entrance examination pattern is entirely different from other engineering entrance EXAMINATION as it comprises of aptitude section, language section, Physics, chemistry and mathematics section. It demands accuracy with time to score 350+..So,go through each and every topic of subject.Rignt now focus only Physics, chemistry and mathematics.Solve problem as much you can, this will clear your understanding and concept..And before 3months of examination solve previous years papers it will helps you in getting idea about question pattern that being asked in examination and also that time you can look for aptitude and language section.
Ask if any query..
What is the scope of Engineering Physics and Mechanical with Automation
Dear Harjot,
Mechanical engineering is one of the topmost career choices made by students in India. There are a lot of career opportunities in this field for young aspirants. Graduates from this field are mainly employed in manufacturing firms. Mechanical engineers can seek employment in private or public sector industries of various types. They can also find a job in government departments such as CPWD, defense, PWD, posts, and telegraphs. Other sectors such as electronics, chemical, power plants, steel plants, agricultural, space research institutes, automobile and aeronautical as well as the railways, need mechanical engineers to design and maintain their machinery.
Candidates with a postgraduate degree or with additional management degree can find work in executive and managerial positions. In the agricultural division, mechanical engineers play a major role by establishing service centers for maintenance of pump sets, tractors, electric motors, oil engines, and other agricultural equipment. Candidates who are interested in research activities can work with many public/private sectors research organizations. Professionals in this career can also opt for teaching jobs in universities and colleges. Postgraduate students with experience can also seek employment in abroad countries.
Best Wishes!
What exactly is engg. Physics?also what is the difference between Bsc physics and a btech engg physics (subjects , syllabus...)?
Engineering Physics is basically a very broad branch, as opposed to a regular BSc. It has a number of core physics courses, alongside the options of minors, and electives (department electives as well as open electives).
Also, since a lot of lab courses in EP are on electronics (very useful to a physicist as well), one may have the option of going to grad school with electronics.
So the basic difference is that there is a lot of liberty in terms of electives in EP. All the exposure to electronics is extremely valuable, especially from the perspective of experimental physics. If you’re considering a career in Physics, this understanding of basic electronics would be a great skill to have in your repertoire.
I get admission in engineering physics @nit Calicut.I would like to take ec by group change .is it possible and help me to achieve it plzzz
Hello dear
Based on the branch you are getting and the previous years cut offs, it is improbable that you will get your preferred branch. Also, you should have filled it in your JoSAA provisional seat allotment list, so that if in case you have chance, you may get it.
The other way possible is that you take up Engineering physics and then try for a branch change. The criteria for branch change varies from college to college. But the basic necessity being getting a high pointer, and also the vacancy in the desired branch. So, study hard in your first year and try to achieve your preferred branch.
I hope this helps you. Feel free to ask any other queries. All the best!!

How is Sajeer Kaladys class in Kuttipuram college
Hi murshid,
Sajeer kalady is one of well known physics asst professor in the area. His notes are being referred even to nearby colleges. His teaching methodologies are very efficient. I know from personal experiences , about the caliber that man has.
hope this anwer will suffice.
CAN YOU PLEASE GIVE SOME INFORMATION ABOUT ENGINEERING PHYSICS
Hello Shreyas!
Engineering Physics is an advanced version of physics studied by a science student in 11th-12th classes or during IIT-JEE preparation.
In 1st year of B.tech this subject is included in syllabus in almost all the colleges of India and the curriculum includes practical as well as theoretical approach to any problem. You will learn to deal with any problem in physics more analytically as you used to do earlier. Topics would be same as in your 11th-12th just some additional topics would be there and some more experiments will be included to increase your practical knowledge .
Hope that helps!
What is Engineering physics. Whether it is a best option in IIT?
Engineering physics or engineering science refers to the study of the combined disciplines of physics, mathematics and engineering particularly computer, nuclear, electrical, electronic, materials or mechanical engineering. By focusing on the scientific methods asa rigorous basis, it seeks ways to apply, design, and develop new solutions in engineering.
I can speak about the Engineering Physics program at IIT-D. Here, there are close to no core jobs, i.e., companies which come exclusively for EP students, like Facebook coming for Computer Science students. The jobs to which the EP students finally go to are those which are open to all the departments. That doesn't mean that the situation is bleak, far from it. Due to the brand value of IIT, there are a huge number of well-paying companies, so everyone is finally placed. But your academic credentials have to be decent to get a good job. The lesser your CGPA, the more you would have to struggle to get a job.
Now there is one other option. If you are enthusiastic about pursuing research in Physics, you have the option of pursuing PhD in Physics from a reputed university in US or Europe. Once again, the better your CGPA, the better university you can get an admission to.
I don't have much information about the EP program in other IIT's, but I know that in IIT-B and IIT-M, the EP program is in collaboration with the Electrical department, so I guess that they can get jobs related to the Electrical department.
I hope this would help you. For further queries please feel free to write me down in the comment box.
