I got 80.46 in jee mains in 2021 do in qualify in jee advance . I am in ews category

Ayush 1st Aug, 2021

Hello Candidate,

The category wise percentile cutoff for various categories to appear for the JEE advanced examination is decided by the national testing agency once all the four terms of the JEE mains examinations have been completed and the results have been declared. So the national testing agency will only decide the qualifying criteria for JEE Mains examination only after the stage 3 and stage 4 rounds are completed. From the last previous year trends the percentile cutoff for general category was around 90 percentile, whereas for OBC it was around 85 percentile.

Hope that you have found it helpful. For more details you can visit https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-advanced-cutoff/amp

I have 2 residential flats. Carpet area of 1st flat is 594 sq.ft. and that of 2nd flat is 567 sq. ft. Am I eligible for EWS Category? Please clarify.

Shalini Parimal 1st Aug, 2021

Hi Aspirant,

Economically Weaker Section(EWS) category is merely not decided on the carpet area of candidate's residential flat. For EWS category, the candidate should verify that their annual family income should be less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum and their family must not own more than 5 acres of agriculture land. Along with that they should also prove that their residential flat area is below 1000 sq ft and who do not belong to any category such as SC/ST/OBC across India, nor to MBC in Tamil Nadu.

Hope this helps you.

All the best!!

i got 112 marks in jee main 27 july shift 2 in EWS category which collage admission?

Anurag Khanna 1st Aug, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See it is quite difficult to tell you an exact figure of your percentile because it keeps on changing every year depending upon various factors but yes we can help you with approximate figures on the basis of analysis of previous year's data.

So If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2020 then according to the marks mentioned by you in the question your percentile is expected to be in the range of 94.16-96.63 as the shift that you have mentioned was moderate in comparison to other shifts.

You can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank and percentile :-

Hi,

The marks scored by you in your JEE main examination is quite good and also you are looking for PEC Chandigarh college which is one of the reputed college in terms of academics and many other factors and also as you belong to EWS category you can get admission in that particular category. So i would definitely suggest you to try for admission only the thing is that if you are looking for a top branch such as CSE or IT than you will to face a lot of competition and you also require a really great marks to get this branches hence, it will be little difficult for you to get this branch but definitely you can try in some medium level branches where you will have a positive chance of securing admission but before all this get your rank first by using the below given link of rank predictor:
