hi i got 70 percentile in jee mains i m from ews category can i get any government college

Rohit Magdum 8th Sep, 2021
Dear aspirant,

As you mentioned you got 70 percentile on this your overall rank in between 306900-345000.
In this percentile and rank chances of getting admission in Government college is very less because for admission in Government college there is lot of compition. All students come above 90 percentile to government college that's way compition is very high.
You can also use college predictor-

Thank you.

SHOULD I SELECT EWS CATEGORY IN NEET 21 APPLICATION FORM IF I HAVE GUJARAT STATE EWS CERTIFICATE IN GUJARATI AS WE COME UNDER STATE EWS CRITERIA BUT NOT IN EWS AS PER CENTRAL EWS CRITERIA?

ayanmukherjee045 30th Jul, 2021

Dear aspirant,

As you have mentioned that you have ews certificate in gujrati and considering you come under state and not central government so I would recommend you to take out your ews certificate in English even if it comes under state.

Ews certificate eligibility criteria is as follows:-

1-Family income should be less than 8L per annum.

2-One should not own more 1000 sq ft of flat.

3-One should not own more than 5 acres of land.

if I m getting 59 marks in jee mains July attempt 2021 20 July shift 2 can I qualify for jee advance and what will be percentile ?? I m from ews category.. plz help me

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 29th Jul, 2021

Hi

This is a bit difficult to predict as your marks vs percentile vs rank in JEE main depends upon a number of factors like

>>>> number of students that appeared in the  jee main exam,

>>>>kind of marks obtained by them ,

>>>>toughness level of the jee main examination for different shift etc.

But yes,

With 59 marks

JEE mains 2021 expected qualifying  CUT OFF percentile to be eligible for jee advanced  is given below for different categories on the basis of past year trends :

Category                  jee  main 2021 expected off percentile

---) General :-                         90-95

- --) GEN-EWS :-                      70 -75

---) OBC-NCL :-                        70 -75

---) SC     :-                                  50 -55

---) ST :-                                       40 - 45

---) PwD :-                                       1- 2

I havent mention general ews category in my jee main 2021 application form rather i mention general category in behalf of it. Also The correction window for jee main may session has been closed. Can i show my ews certificate after jee main 2021 result?

Anurag Khanna 29th Jul, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Unfortunately now you cannot change your category to EWS category because you have already applied for JEE-Main 2021 under General category and the correction window is also closed for JEE-Main 2021 so now you have to take all the further steps through General category only because in JOSAA application process also you won't get an option to change your category so now only your CRL rank will be considered for admission along with General category

Now to bind-up your preparation of JEE-Main 2021 kindly check out the link given below :-
