Im from general ews category and got 89 percentile in jee main feb attempt do i have any chance to go for igdtuw cs

Atul Singh 16th Aug, 2021

Dear Shalini,

Actually it matters whether you belong to Delhi or not.

According to your percentile your rank would be around 1.2 lakhs, you can check it by yourself from this link.

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

If your home state is Delhi then there is a chance that you can get branches like Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical and Automation Engineering.

And if your are coming under the open state student then you may get Mechanical and Automation Engineering, Mechanical and Automation Engineering and MBA.

For CSE you need to come under the rank of 30K (Home state) or 20K (open state) for the safe side, so better if you give one more attempt of jee and try to come under this rank .

Good Luck :)

I got 92.5 percentile in jee mains 2021, belong from EWS category. Will I get a seat in ICE branch at NSUT?

Shivam Kumar 12th Aug, 2021

The probability of getting ICE at NSUT (Main Campus) with 92.5 percentile is very less. Last year the closing rank for ICE in the spot round were:

Delhi Region   -  75261

Outside Delhi Region   - 40080

92.5 percentile means about 80000 CRL rank.

Better you try in other colleges with this rank.

I did not mention EWS category when registration of mht cet 2021 because I have not EWS certificate but now I have EWS certificate, can I mention the EWS category ...can I mention it

anirudha vats 6th Jul, 2021

Hi,

Once the registration is complete, no changes can be done. Even when the corrections window opens, basic details like name, dob, category is not allowed to change. So I think you won't be able to make any change in your category. But you can still email them and ask them the same. They might help you with it.

I hope this helps.

All the best.

In which IIIT will I get seat if my jee mains percentile is 94.58 and I belong to EWS category ?

sheemaashraf123 11th Dec, 2021
It depends upon the JEE Main and JEE Advance cut offs, If You manage to qualify the exam by achieving the cut off, You can apply for JOSAA Counselling. It should be noted the cut off for EWS/SC/ST/FEMALES/OBC category is lower than the general category

If you manage to qualify JEE Main Cutoff, You would be eligible for JEE Advance which is the intake exam for IITs as mentioned above.

However It is usually advised to fill the choices as per the preference of colleges and departments, for example CSE in NIT Trichy is your priority followed by CSE in NIT Warangal, you can fill CSE at NIT Trichy at serial number 1 and CSE at NIT Warangal at serial number 2 and so on and so forth. However to get any NIT, you must have qualified JEE Mains and to get any IIT, you must have qualifies JEE Advanced

But the previous cut offs of colleges should be taken in consideration, it is better to research over the cut off of colleges then make a preference list of colleges and fill accordingly

For the college preferences and the courses provided by these colleges and to know which colleges participate in the JOSAA counselling, please go to the below mentioned link: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/josaa-participating-institutes/amp

i had filled jee main feb attempt form and clicked general category.and i used the correction window for feb attempt to correct my name spelling.but now i got general ews category certificate can i use correction window for may attempt to change my category to EWS.can weuse correction window 2times?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 6th Jul, 2021

Hi

Yes, you can definitely use correction Window for May session and change your category.

And don't worry,

One cannot use correction window twice for the same session but in other session you can use it as there's one time facility of correction window per session

For example,

When you had used correction Window for February session ,you wouldn't have been able to use correction window again for the February session but you can definitely use the correction window for May session.

Moreover,

You don't need to freshly apply for May session. Once the application window gets opened

You simply need to :-

visit official website of JEE main  for i. e  jeemain.nta.nic.in and then click on apply there will be two options  -

  • -) Register, for new candidates who have not registered for any of the sessions

  • -) log in / sign in for already registered students , so you need to log in using your login credentials and then you will see correction window, you need to use it and then edit your application form and add May session and you can change your category as well then pay the application fee accordingly .

The May session has been postponed . So for new dates for opening of application window  and exam dates , you can follow the official website of Nta i. e jeemain.nta.nic.in or alternately follow us for updates at

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-april/amp#referrer=https://www.google.com&csi=0

Meanwhile keep the preparation on. Go  through previous year question papers ,mock test papers and to help you in your preparation we have jee main knockout out for you, for which link  is provided below

Thank you
