can i get iiit delhi for computer or ece branch.. i am outside Delhi.. i scored 89 percentile under ews category in march 2021..

Anurag Khanna 27th Mar, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2020 then according to the percentile mentioned by you in the question your CRL rank is expected to be in the range of 112530 - 126500 , you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2020 of JAC 10th round then it shows that :-

Closing CRL rank for IIIT Delhi for EWS category was :-

CSE branch - 5428 (Outside Delhi quota)

ECE branch - 27807 (Outside Delhi quota)

So you have no chances to get IIIT Delhi with any of the branch.

But yes if you improve your percentile in any further session of JEE-Main like around 96-97 then you might have a shot at IIIT Delhi.

You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jac-delhi-merit-list

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JAC and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

I got 96.20 percentile in jee main march and I belong to EWS category. Can I get top IIIT and top NIT college with core branch?

Sowmya Konkala 26th Mar, 2021

96.20 percentile  could fetch you a rank around 38874-43700 .now these are based on previous year analysis .As of now its tough to say because the analysis and also cutoffs change every year due to many factors like total students appearing for exam, difficulty level of paper etc..considering you from general  ews category you have fair chances to fetch seat in government colleges nits or iiits like nit agartala, nit jalandar .however once check your homestate cutoff for nit.you can get closing rank for josaa official website: https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

.for more information to get a personalised report on what all chances you have for your rank refer to: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

hope this helps,

thankyou.

Hello Aspirant,

You have pretty well in JEE main paper 2. So 246 is a good score for B.Plan and you have a decent chance to get into NITs. But the exact admission possibilities depends on your category rank ,the number of seats and number of applicants in each NITs for B.Plan. I HAVE UPLOADED EWS CATEGORY CERTIFICATE FOR JEE 2021 BUT IT WAS MADE IN SEP 2020 WILL IT BE VALID BCOZ VALIDITY OF EWS IS 1 YEAR??? REPLY FAST

Anurag Khanna 4th Feb, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Yes of course it will be valid because your EWS certificate will be valid from September 2020 to September 2021 as you have mentioned that it has been issued in September 2020.

Some insights of JEE-Main 2021 :-

> To qualify for JEE Mains, there is no minimum aggregate percentage criteria and also if you want to take admission into NITs, IIITs or CFTIs then you should pass in your class 12th. Because as per the latest announcement made by our Hon'ble Education minister Mr.Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank, the 75% criteria has been removed for upcoming year 2021-22.

> Also from this year according to New Education Policy the JEE-Main examination will be conducted in English, Hindi and other regional languages such as Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Odia and Malayalam.

> In JEE-Main 2021 there will be total 90 question out of which you have to attempt only 75 (25 from each section) and there will be two sections for each subject, Section-A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs)(20 compulsory questions) and Section-B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value (10 numerical based questions out of which only 5 are compulsory to be attempted).

> In Section B, candidates have to attempt any five questions out of 10. There will be no negative marking for Section B.

> All question will be of 4 marks and in MCQs there will be negative marking of (-1) on incorrect attempt.

This year JEE-Main is being conducted with slight changes in it's pattern and it's conduction and you can check out all the changes from the link given below :-

I hope this information helps you.

if someone get under 2000 AIR and gets seat of GEN merit and belongs to EWS (GEN) then of whom fees he will have to pay ...EWS categorys fees or GENs fees?? pls tell ASAP

Shrishty sahu 1st Feb, 2021
Dear student,
If you get admission in a general seat in any iit/nit/iiit/gfti through iit jee then first you need to pay the fees according to general category only. However each year students have to provide their income certificate to avail tuition fee waiver and the students who had nor availed the facility before but have less family income get a tuition fee waiver. I am a student at one of the nit's, and this is what happens there. So you need to pay the fees initially as a general candidate then if this facility is provided you can have the tuition fee waiver.

in mohan babu college we will get seat ap eamcet and jee main qualification qualification ews category?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 26th Jan, 2021

Hello,

Admission in to B.Tech in Sri Vidyanikethan Engineering College is based on merit in AP EAMCET.7 0% seats are filled through AP EAMCET counselling, 30% seats are filled under NRI/Management quota which is known as category-B seats. It does not accept JEE Main score. Irrespective of the category a candidate must appear for AP EAMCET and qualify in it to be eligible to appear for AP EAMCET. The eligibility criteria is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with minimum 45% marks and for reserved categories it is minimum 40% marks from a recognised board.
