As you belong to ews category, you would need ews certificate and not an OBC-NCL certificate i.e.the OBC- non creamy layer certificate. Both of these categories are different and have different reservations. EWS category people fall in general category with low annual income.

To take admission in an iit/nit/iiit/gfti you would need an ews certificate to avail the reservation for ews, the certificate should be issued by the central government and not by the state. You cannot give the state ews certificate. The central ews certificate will be valid in any part of India. It can be issued from any part of the country.
