EWS category
Hi Sibani,
I am sorry to say that now you can not change your category during the counselling time. Once during the registration you have given Unreserved category then you will have to go with that only for the NEET counselling process.
For corrections, time were given, and you could have made the change then but now that is not possible until NEET announces any such official notice.
In this case, i will suggest you to participate in counselling process mentioning your category as "Unreserved/Open".
Hello
Category rank might be mentioned in your state rank card however the counselling is don eon theb asis of your state merit rank. It depends on the availability of teh seats. Let us assume that you get 15 obc rank and 35 general rank (state merit rank). You have applied for counselling in Calcutta Medical College, according to your state merit rank you were called for counselling but you did not get a seat as there were only 25 seats fr general but you were the 5th obc candidate according to rank wise counselling to get in the counselling round of that college so you will get a seat in Calcutta Medical College on the basis of your category.
I hope I have made thing sclear for you.

Hello Aspirant,
On such marks and category you have good chances of getting Private dental colleges in West Bengal under state quota but not private medical colleges (you can try these through direct admission provided that you must have appeared in NEET Counselling and unable to secure any seat through it), according to previous year's cut-off. As we go through previous year's cut-off then it shows that you can get following colleges :-
And some more. You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use NEET College Predictor because it will make you comfortable while choice filling in counselling :-

Hey,
Your marks is quite low to say anything. The possibility of you getting a seat in any government college seems negligible. Although there might be a possibility that you may get a seat in any private or deemed college.
I have attached our college predictor link below. You can use this link to see what are your chances of college at this rank.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
Hi,
As you have not mentioned your EWS category in the NEET Application form , you cannot avail the EWS category in the NEET Counselling 2020 even if you possess an EWS certificate.
You will be eligible for the counselling and would get to attend it as a general category candidate only.
Visit your block of the given address or visit the place you have applied for the EWS certificate and ask the senior authorities about your situation and then they will take you concern in consideration.
Hi Aspirant,
First of all, there is no distinction between State EWS and central EWS. there is a common list and criteria.
In case you have applied NEET Application form mentioning UR category, then for counselling as well you will have to proceed with the same criteria. Even for state counselling, your category should be taken as "UR".
If interested to know about the colleges you can get based on your NEET Ranking, visit this link - https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=neetug-cp-lp&ici=nav-header_medicine
