ayanmukherjee045 13th Oct, 2020

Dear aspirant ,

EWS certificate in hindi is absolutely valid .But if you taking admission in the southern states that might create a problem. So , i would recommend you convert the EWS CFT in English as at the time of admission and verification of documents it depends on the alloted institute.

You can get many  new IIT's in good  branches , and apart from these you can also get BHU/Dhanbad in branches like metallurgy , mining etc , as seats have increased this year onwards .

Apart from iit's you can get IIST , RGIPT , IIPE so you can try for them also based on your jee advanced rank . You can also take admission in IISER .

hello I have done my ragistration in joosa with EWS category, but I dont have EWS certificate so what can I choose my preference. once the round start they have mention that you have got admission on this rank..please guide me

Apurvi Tiwari 29th Oct, 2020

Hi Nilesh,

I hope you are doing well . If you don't have EWS certificate then it is better to go and make a certificate. Because you will need it for every exam and post.

Changing your preference because you don't have the certificate is not advisable.

Thanks. Happy to help.

1 expecting to get 460 marks..can i get a government bds college in west bengal??.i am of ews category.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 12th Oct, 2020

Hi

It's quite difficult to predict that whether you will get  seat or not as  cut off marks for medical colleges keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

But when we go through previous data then it suggests that with 460 marks   you hold  a low chance to get a seat in a Government Medical College

For example,
in neet  2019, 504 marks for ews category was the lowest marks to get a seat in a government medical college  under west Bengal state quota and it was for MALDA MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, MALDA

With your marks you have  chances in private medical college and deemed universities

To get the list of colleges in which you have chances, you can go through our college predictor at

https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

It gives you a personalized report with top college in which you have chances for admission , with the help of predicted colleges you can make better choice while filling your choices of colleges during your counselling

Thankyou

Rashmita Paul 12th Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

For BDS above 480+ is required. For MBBS 450+ can get you a private college but for government 525 is required. As your NEET score is 482. Your Overall Percentile is: 95.21 - 95.71 and when it comes to rank, your Predicted Rank is :64305 - 76455 . Also depends upon last years cut-off as is varies.

Shakti Swarupa Bhanja 20th Nov, 2020

Hello Sachin!

SLIET Punjab provides several scholarships according to merit basis. There are several eligibilty conditions for that purpose, one of them is that your family's annual income must not be more than Rs.2.5 lakhs. So, as a EWS candidate you can avail the merit cum means based scholarship after fulfilling all elgibilty requirements. The Merit cum means scholarship will cover your tuition fees and hostel fees too(if you are not a day scholar). I am giving you a link which you should copy and paste in your browser to visit and read all the eligibilty conditions for this scholarship:-

http://academic.sliet.ac.in/scholarship-cell/merit-cum-means-scholarship/

The CS branch is probably one of the best branches to choose in SLIET Punjab. The faculty are all experienced dignitaries from IITs and NITs, with a PhD degree. The curriculum is regularly updated. The placements in the CS branch is maximum among all other branches. Companies like TCS, Adobe, Capgemini and Infosys visit the campus for placement objectives. The college provides industrial training, projects and consultancy to the students to enhace industrial exposure. Around 75-80% students from CS branch get placed every year. The Average Salary in this college ranges between Rs. 3-4.2 LPA while the highest salary offered till date Rs.18 LPA(data for the CS branch).

You can read the student reviews of SLIET Punjab for more satisfaction:-

During UPSEE 2020 seat allotment.I am from general EWS category if i didnt get seat in particular collage from my EWS rank then should i get from general rank seat or not ??? PLEASE HELP!?

Palak kumari 11th Oct, 2020

Hey Priyanshu,

During the process of seat allotment first the category rank is considered of the student for alloting the seat. If the student doesn't gets seat on the basis of Category rank then the general rank is considered.

So yes, you may get colleges on the basis of your general rank too.

For more details like cutoffs of previous year use the link mentioned below-

Also you can use our college predictor tool-

hi. Iam from maharashtra and belong to maratha cast is am i belong to ews category

Karam Vir 11th Oct, 2020

Hi,

For availing the category of EWS, their is an eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria says that if your family earning is less than 8 Lakhs per annum and you belong to general category, then you can avail this category. If your caste comes under general category, you can avail the category providing that you meet the other criteria.
