EWS category
Hello
Making prediction is difficult as cutoff depends upon various factors like :-
-----------) number of students/ candidates that appeared in the jee main exam,
-----------) number of available seats,
-----------) jee main examination difficulty level.
-----------) the branch you want,
-----------) the category you belong etc.
-----------) your rank in jee main
But yes,
When we go through previous year trend then
Under other state quota , closing rank for some of the nits for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 :-
---------) NIT Nagaland :- Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering :- 8007 EWS rank
---------) NIT Raipur :- biotechnology :- 8096 ews rank
---------) National Institute of Technology Agartala:- production engineering :- 8629 ews rank
You can check previous year cut off at
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
So, to get a seat in NIT you should get at least around 8600 ews rank i. e around 95 percentile.
Thus,
With your percentile, chances for NITs is low .
This prediction of colleges is based of past year data but cut off or closing rank changes every year depending upon many factors like the number of students that give the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main for different shifts etc so
To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to, your home state, your gender etc, the link for jee main college predictor is provided below

Hello,
If you want to take admission in any IIT or NIT or any GFTI then you will not get seat. To get the admission in IIT or NIT you will have to score more than 90 or95 percentile. With the mentioned percentile it is quite difficult to get the seat. You can go through the counselling process. and to get the idea of the college you might you can go through the link below :

Hello Aspirant,
As per your percentile in JEE-Main 2022,
>>>>> your CRL rank is expected around 439992 - 494615 .
Now on such CRL rank you can have chances in following colleges based on your JEE-Main rank :-
Jawaharlal Darda Institute of Engineering and Technology, Yavatmal
Jawaharlal Institute of Technology, MP
SR Group of Institutions, Lucknow
Nitra Technical Campus, Ghaziabad
To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your JEE-Main rank/score you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-
Till now the official qualifying cut-offs have not been released and the qualifying cut-off percentiles are released along with final result of JEE-Main 2022 which will be released after both the sessions i.e. most probably in August '22.
But o n such percentile, being an EWS candidate you have very less chances to qualify for JEE-Advance 2022 but still the cutoffs for this year have not released yet officially.
As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2022 result so for now you can get an idea from JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-offs that are enlisted below :-
==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile
==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile
==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile
Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2022 but previous year's cut-off.
You can check out previous year's cut-off trends from the link given below :-

I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!
Dear Aspirant,
It is quite difficult to predict the exact cutoff situation as it depends on the number of students attempting the exam the and the preferences of the students.
We can make small predictions base Don the previous year trends.
IISc is the most prestigious university of India and the there are only 200 seats for BS degree and hence the competition is cut throat.
Looking at the previous year trends we can say that you have a good chance of getting into IISc if you get around 5 K rank. The cutoffs in the previous years for EWS category have been around 10 K. Hence, you have a good chance of getting into IISc
See till now the official qualifying cut-offs have not been released and the qualifying cut-off percentiles are released along with final result of JEE-Main 2022 which will be released after both the sessions i.e. most probably in August '22.

If you have EWS, you are qualified to jee advanced with 85.1 percentile.
You can take the JEE Advanced Exam, but your results won't be good enough to get you into a top branch or decent nit.
Don't relax after mains and prepare well for advanced; most students who do this end up getting poor grades there. Keep up the hardwork till you pass advanced.
Thank You
Let me tell you that in 85 percentile it is not possible to get the top level nits like Jamshedpur, durgapur, Silchar, allahabad, rourkela, Calicut, Trichy, warangal, surathkal.
However various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.
