I am general EWS category student. Upto how much rank can I get DTU?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 6th Aug, 2022

Hello,

You haven't mentioned if you belong to Delhi region or Outside Delhi region. The cut off is branch, category and region specific. Last year the cut off in round 4  of JAC is as follows for admission in Delhi Technological University

Delhi region

  • Computer Engineering (COE): 21668
  • Information Technology (IT): 26128
  • Software Engineering (SE) 28683
  • Mathematics and Computing (MCE): 31934
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) :36547
  • Electrical Engineering (EE):58335
  • Mechanical Engineering (ME) : 67761
  • Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Automotive Engineering (MAM) 73792
  • Engineering Physics (EP): 75336
  • Chemical Engineering (CHE): 78625
  • Civil Engineering (CE): 84588
  • Production & Industrial Engineering (PIE): 87628
  • Environmental Engineering (ENE): 94200
  • Bio-Technology (BT): 98744

Outside Delhi region

  • Computer Engineering (COE): 4719
  • Information Technology (IT): 5922
  • Software Engineering (SE): 6579
  • Mathematics and Computing (MCE): 8523
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) : 10027
  • Electrical Engineering (EE): 12121
  • Mechanical Engineering (ME) : 13571
  • Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Automotive Engineering (MAM): 14874
  • Engineering Physics (EP): 16106

  • Civil Engineering (CE): 19307
  • Production & Industrial Engineering (PIE): 15535
  • Environmental Engineering (ENE): 18846
  • Bio-Technology (BT): 20734

The above mentioned cut off ranks are the All India Rank secured in JEE Main. To get seat in DTU you need to secure AIR within 20000 if you are outside Delhi region. If you are from Delhi region then you need to secured AIR within 90000. Cut off is subjected to change, it may increase or decrease depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

I got 92.87 percentile in iit jee mains and I comes under ews category. Is there any chance to get nit Or iit

thakurvishesh1 4th Aug, 2022

If you belong to the Economically Weaker Section or EWS and have scored 92.87 percentile in the Joint Entrance Examination Main, it is a very good score. You can easily get some of the best National Institute of Technologies of India. Some of these are as follows:

NIT Mizoram
NIT Nagaland
NIT Arunachal Pradesh
NIT Sikkim

You need to give JEE Advanced to get admission into the IITs.

You can also use our college predictor to see your chances in all the colleges:

i got 56percentile in jee mains2022 .ibelong to ews category may iget seat in any engineering college.

Muskan Dhalwal 3rd Aug, 2022

Hello,

According to previous year trends, it might be difficult for you to seek admission in any famous engineering colleges such as NITs with a 56 percentile in EWS category. There is a lot of competition in this exam, but you can try other engineering colleges where EWS quota is given some weightage.

You can utilize the JEE Main College Predictor tool provided below to determine your additional prospects through JOSSA, State level Government colleges, and private colleges:

can i get IT branch in SNIST in I got 60 marks in ts eamcet and i am oc and ews category in either 1st Or 2nd counciling

Piyush 3rd Aug, 2022

Hello aspirant

With the above mentioned marks in TSEAMCET your predicted rank is expected to be around 10K. So, based on the previous year TS EAMCETR cutoff, you have low chances of getting SNIST Hyderabad in CSE or IT branch. According to the previous yera Cutoff, for CSE or IT branch you may need around 120-150 marks in TS EAMCET for this college and around 100 marks for ECE or other lower branches.

But do not loose hope as you can get some other decent college with thsi marks in TS EAMCET. At this stage you can go for colleges like St Martin's, VJIT, Marri Laxman etc. These are not great colleges but decent where you can get CSE or IT.

Further, to know more about your Admission chances in other colleges, you can follow the below mentioned College prediction tool to know more about it in detail : https://dqxeclau.top/ts-eamcet-college-predictor

I hope that this will hep.

Being a e w s category student and as you have achieved 80.96 percentile in JEE mains examination so on the basis of EWS category charge for you to take admission in Pune Institute of Computer technology which was established by society for Computer technology research in the year of 1983. Your result in JEE mains is hopeful on the basis of EWS category reservation policy you will get 10% reservation in respect of any admission  so there is a bright chance for you for taking admission in Pune Institute of Computer Technology,Pune, Maharastra.

sir i got 94.163 percentile in jee mains i am from ews category can i get walchanda college of engineering sangli and which branch

Sevit Kar 1st Aug, 2022

Hello,

The percentile which you got should fetch you a core branch in this college but let me tell you that these things depends on your state ranking and one doesn't know how the dynamics will change because the number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper .

If your state ranking is below 6-6.5k then you will surely get a core branch here. For cse branch you need to be under 1k. However various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.

CAN I GET NIT WITH A 9000 RANK IN EWS CATEGORY THROUGH CSAB ROUND?

thakurvishesh1 21st Jun, 2022

Definitely! If you talk about the CSAB rounds, then the cut-off for many good National Institute of Technologies change drastically. If I give you the example of NIT Rourkela, then the cut offs for the 2nd CSAB rounds for EWS category are as follows (and I'm talking about the Other State quota):

Mechanical Engineering: 20,343

Electrical Engineering: 16,189

Food Process Engineering: 52,178

... and many other courses in which you can get admission. So, go forward for the CSAB round and you'll easily score an admission.

kya EWS category mein 12 board mein 65% pane wale student IIT mein admission le sakte hain

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 20th Jun, 2022

Hi

Admission in IIT is through JEE advanced examination for this year there's no percentage barrier for JEE advanced .

So, yes even if you have got only 65% in class 12th , you can still get admission in IIT this year in 2022

But in case,

You are planning to give a JEE advanced examination in 2023 then I would suggest you to give improvement examination so that you can get at least  75% so that even if 75% barrier for general /EWS/obc category returns back in 2023 will be still eligible

For your reference

JEE  advanced eligibility criteria is given below :-

---------------------) Qualification required :- One needs to pass 10+2/ or equivalent with the following 5 subjects:-

  • Physics

  • Chemistry

  • Mathematics

  • A language

  • Any subject other than listed above

Those appearing for 10+2/equivalent are also eligible.

- --------------------) Minimum marks in 12th /equivalent :-  you need to pass your class 12th with at least 75% marks in aggregate in class 12 if belong to general or obc category or at least 65% marks if belongs to SC/ST or must be in the top 20 percentile in class 12 examination.

††† IMPORTANT NOTE :- Considering pandemic in order to give relaxation. The minimum percentage barrier of 75 % - 65% has been lifted off for jee advanced 2022. It means all you need to be eligible is to have at least passed 12th .

----------------------) 12th /equivalent passing year :-  You can give JEE advanced examination for the maximum of consecutive 2 years starting from the year of appearing for your 12th examination i. e to be eligible for JEE advanced 2022 your 12th board examination appearing year should be either 2022 or 2021

††† IMPORTANT NOTE:-

Considering pandemic, there's one time measure for students who had passed 12th in 2021 & 2020.

  • For 2021 passed :- Those 2021 passed students who had qualified jee main 2021 and had registered for jee advanced 2021 but couldn't appear in the examination are directly eligible for jee advanced 2022 without appearing in jee main 2022.

  • For 2020 passed :- 2020 12th passed students are also eligible for  jee advanced 2022 after qualifying jee main 2022 provided they have appeared in only one of 2020 or 2021 jee advanced or none of them.

Details about it is available at:- https://news.careers360.com/jee-advanced-2022-extra-attempt-iit-entrance-exam-candidates-who-missed-in-2020-2021-jeeadv-ac-in

-----------------------) There is upper age limit, according to which to be eligible for jee advanced 2022, you should be born on or after 1st October 1997. There is 5 years of age relaxation for SC, ST and PwD so candidates of SC/ST /PWD needs to be  born on or after October 1, 1992.

-----------------------) you must qualify JEE main  2022 to be eligible for jee advanced 2022.

To give you an idea of the jee main qualifying cut off percentile to be eligible for jee advanced,  jee main 2021 cut off percentile to be eligible for jee advanced 2021 is given below :-

  • general :-87.8992241 percentile

  • EWS:- 66.2214845 percentile

  • OBC-NCL :- 68.0234447 percentile

  • SC :- 46.8825338 percentile

  • ST:- 34.6728999 percentile

  • PWD :- 0.0096375 percentile
