If you have filled EWS as your category on NEET application form, you must fill the same during UP NEET Counseling also, as any discrepancy might lead to disqualification. You need to submit your category documents during counseling verification.

I got 493vmarks in neet 2021 belongs to EWS category, can I enroll into AFMC is there any chance?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 19th Jan, 2022

Hi

It is difficult to make prediction as cut off keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like

------------) number of students that appeared in the neet exam,

------------) kind of marks obtained by them ,

------------)  toughness level of the neet examination

------------)  number of seats available

------------) the category you are from etc

Anyway,

when we go through previous year trends

>>>>>> With  493 marks,

You have very low chance for AFMC

For example,

Last 3 years neet cut off for AFMC mbbs is given below

AFMC         NEET        CUT       OFF  Marks

Gender

Neet cutoff 2020 marks

Neet 2019 Cutoff marks

Neet 2018 Cutoff marks

Boys

618

596

551

Girls

637

610

551

So, cut off in 2020 was 618 for boys and 637 for girls

You can check the same at

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/afmc-mbbs

Also,

You have low chances for mbbs in government colleges

But yes,

You have  chances in deemed universities for mbbs which are listed below along with their cut off marks in neet 2020,2nd round all india counselling conducted  for 100 % deemed university seats   :-

----------) K.S Hegde Medical Academy, Mangaluru:- 491 marks

----------) Rural Medical College and PIMS, Loni:- 489 marks

----------) Amrita Institute of Medical Science, Kochi:- 479 marks

----------) SDU Medical College, Kolar:- 466 marks

----------) SBKS Med. Inst. and Res. Centre, Sumandeep  Vadodara:- 446 marks

----------) Yenepoya Manglaore:-436 marks

----------) Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar:- 426 marks

----------) B.L.D.E University, Bijapur:- 387 marks

----------) MGM Medical College, Navi Mumbai:- 380 marks

----------) Institute of Medical Sciences and SUMH, Bhubaneswar:-360 marks

And  a few more

This has been  predicted on the basis of previous years data  but  cutoff keeps changing so to have clear picture of the complete list of colleges in which you have chances, you can go through our college predictor at

I have cleared neet ug 2021 with EWS as my category but I dont have EWS Certificate. Can I change my EWS category to General category? For UP and MCC counseling?

Subhrajit Mukherjee 19th Jan, 2022

If you can't produce the certificate of EWS then you need to provide a declaration that you don't have the EWS certificate. Such things will be available during the seat acceptance and document verifications procedure. So accordingly you can provide the document as per the required format introduced by the organization.

Sumedha Bhattacharya 19th Jan, 2022

Dear Student ,

As per the last year AP EAMCET cut off , with your rank . you have good chances to get Bapatla Agriculture College . Last year the cut off was : 12752

Well, you still need to remember that , each year the cut off can vary due to several reasons like seat capacity , difficulty level of exam , reservation criteria etc.

Check AP EAMCET last year cut off from here :

im scoring 509 marks with an air 76925 and ews category. which mbbs govt college can i get at aiq?

maaztauquir24 17th Jan, 2022

HI reader ,

with the increase of reservation for EWS category across all the colleges taking part in ALL INDIA COUNSELLING , the cutoff of EWS category is bound to be reduced significantly to nearly 600 or 595 .

but at your rank and marks i.e. 509 marks and air 76925 it seems difficult that you will get any college through AIQ .

you can certainly try in your state for government mbbs seat or also can take part in counselling of deemed/private medical colleges or you can pursue BDS / BAMS/BHMS.

for knowing your chances of getting a college you can refer

i hope this helps

i have mentioned by mistake ews category in neet pg 2022 application form, can i change my ews to unreserved in edit window

piyush singh 17th Jan, 2022

Hello Aspirant

If due to any possible reason you have filled your category wrong, you can't change it after the announcement of result.

The only option to change category opens up when the correction window opens up for NEET registration form not the NEET counseling application form. You would have to provide/upload an EWS certificate to avail the benefit of EWS Quota or else you will be considered a general candidate and will be given seat based on that.
