i want to apply for ba english hons. can i include marks of fine arts(it is my main subject) while calculating % of best four?

lakshita shaan 10th Oct, 2020

hey,

i hope you are well

while calculating best four subject marks you need to keep following points in mind

1. one language (core/elective/functional)

2. that subject in which you are taking admission let say if you are seeking admission in B.A english hons then you need to include english subject fallacy will bear a deduction of 2.5 percent and if you are from any stream other than arts then also 2.5 percent deduction will be faced.

3. any two subject from list A (link mentioned below) , fallacy will face deduction of 2,5 percent

for more information kindly go through the link mentioned below

Can I add fine arts or painting in best four subjects while filling the application form of St. Stephens college for BSC honors (mathematics) and BSC honors (economics)?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 27th Jul, 2020

Hello,

The best four subjects for calculation of percentage for B.Sc Mathematics(Hons) is that minimum 60% in one language from List A1, Mathematics and any two subjects from List B. There is no Fine Arts or Painting subjects in List B so you cannot include these subjects. It has to be any two subjects in list B.

There is no B.Sc (Hons) Econimics but BA (Hons)Economics and the best four should be calculates as follows,

Minimum aggregate of 60% marks any one Language from list A1, Mathematics and combination of best two other elective subjects from Lists A and B. And one subject must be Economics of the two subjects if not 1% marks will be deduced. If you do not include the two subjects in list A & B the there will be a deduction of 2.5% percentage of the overall percentage in 4 subjects. Again in list A & B there is no Fine Arts or Painting listed so you cannot include the marks but if you did your percentage may get deduced by 1% or 2.5% depending on the subjects you are including.

Can i do BFA that is Bachleor in Fine Arts ,after 10th that is i want to do 3-4 years Diploma after 10th.Is it possible

mail2ankit04 17th Jul, 2020
Hello aspirant

No , you cannot do any bachelor degree just after completing your class 10th.
You need to either complete your class 12th or you need to complete any diploma course so as to get yourself admitted in any bachelor degree programme.

You can go for diploma courses just after completion of your class 10th and then after completion of the diploma you can opt for any bachelor degree programme.

Hope it helps :)

Hey, I have got 94 in accountancy and business studies,92 in English and 99 in fine arts. So my respective percentage is 94.75-2.5=92.5?! please answer!!

Vaishali Sharma 17th Jul, 2020

Hii Mridul,

Your percentage of best four is 94.75.

If you are pursuing the course in the same field which was in your class 12th, then there will be no deduction and if you are choosing the different course from your stream then there will be some deduction.

For getting an idea where can you get admission in college, here is the college predictor in the given link
