ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 23rd May, 2021

Hi Aspirant!

Biomagnification refers to the rise in the contaminated substances/chemicals caused by the intoxicating environement. It is any concentration of a toxin, such as pesticides, in the tissues of tolerant organisms at successively higher levels in a food chain. The other organic substances which causes biomagnification in aquatic food chain except DDT are:

  • Hexachlorobenzene (HCB)
  • PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls)

a pan filled with hot food cools from 94c to 86c in 2minetes when the room temperature is at 20c how long will it take to cool from 71c to 69c

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 20th May, 2021

Hi Aspirant!

It is given that the pan cools down from 94 degrees to 86 degree celcius in 2 minutes and the room temperature is 20 degree celcius.

So, T1 = 94 degrees

T2 = 86 degrees

T3 = 20 deg.

t' = 2 min (94 to 86 degrees)

t = ? (from 71 to 69 degrees)

So, as we know:

ln [ (T2-T3)/(T1-T3)] = - kt

=> ln [ ( 86 - 20) / ( 94-20) = -2k

after solving, we get k = - (1/2) ln ( 33/31)

Then , to find 't':

ln [(69-20)/ (71-20)] = -(1/2) ln ( 33/31) t

we get, t = [ln(49/51)] / [-(1/2)  ln ( 33/31)]

=> t = 0.69 minutes

=> t = 0.69 x 60 = 41.4 seconds

So, it will take 41.4 seconds to cool down the pan from 71 degrees to 69 degrees celcius.

Thankyou!

In case if I change college branch another state then previous some hostel fee is left when pending AICTE maintenance fee then I cant able to pay from own pocket then what I do Because I want to change college there is no good facility they didnt educate well not good hostel food plz tell me

Sharon Rose Student Expert 14th May, 2021

Hello,

If you have stayed in the hostel provided by the college then you need to clear all the dues such as tuition fee, hostel fee, mess fee, miscellaneous fee before discontinuing the study regardless of the reason for leaving the college. Without clearing the dues you may not get leaving certificate and your original certificates back from the college in which you have submitted at the time of admission. So you have to get financial assistance to clear the fee dues.

Hello i am a diploma in civil engineering and working as Junior Engineer in central govt department since last 11 years.I want to do my graduation in food science and technology. pls brief me which is better - bsc or btech.and can i have lateral entry?

medsra159 22nd Jun, 2021

Dear leaner,

It's better to go with btech as your are from polytechnic you have a chance of learning easy with appropriate basics, why another option if you have 100% of chances to get in btech

You can do food technology in btech as well b sc also

As everyone know that btech is a professional degree where as bsc is a degree where everyone sees it like a normal degree ,the career in food technology with btech is vast , after completion of your course one can cope with government as well private sector

The jobs like tech in food industry

Testing in labs,and quality of food products etc

Some companies recruits the students right after degree ends

Amul

Cadbury

Britannia

Nestle .

Food technology in btech and bsc are same , by the deal is what are you good at

Go on with passion, to reach your passion you have to take smart decisions also .

All the best
