Yeah! You can apply for the Non-technical examination for RRB but you can't apply for the technical examination because RRB releases vacancies in the technical staff mostly for Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IT/CSE and ECE. There are no such requirement of Food technologist in RRB (at least there are no notification for that).

Hi,
Considering the previous years Cutoff, you have good chances for getting a seat in Food Technology. It seems difficult for you to get seat in either medical , veterinary or Agriculture.
Here is my priority list for different courses :- 1. Horticulture, 2. Food and technology , 3. Nutrition , 4. Physiotherapy , 5 . Nursing . Even though don't loose hope as the Cutoffs changes every year , I suggest you to attend all phases of counselling and try your luck. I wish you good luck. All the best.

The simple answer is what are you interested in? While it is imperative that food technology has better job prospects but it might be possible that you are more inclined towards microbiology. Having said that, microbiology also has good job prospects. In the end it all comes down to choosing what you like.
