I have changed my category to obc ncl in the january attempt correction window but in results it is showing general can I change it in the april attempt correction window and will the change of category from general to obc-ncl be made for sure or not???
Hello,
The NTA provides a correction window before the April attempt, where you may be able to change your category.
- Previous Attempt Issue : If your category change was not updated in the January attempt, it is advisable to contact NTA immediately for clarification.
- Final Approval : The change from General to OBC-NCL depends on NTA’s verification and acceptance of your category certificate.
- Steps to Take : Keep your OBC-NCL certificate ready and check the official notification for correction window details.
- Confirmation : NTA has the final authority to approve or reject category changes.
Hope you find it useful !

I got 60 percentile in jee 2025 through general category..may I get admission in your college and if yes then send me the details of how will I take admission.....
Hello Sarvesh,
With
60 percentile
in
JEE Mains 2025
under the
General category
, getting admission into
top NITs, IIITs, or GFTIs
is not possible, as the cutoff for General candidates is usually much higher.
Alternative Options:
-
Private Engineering Colleges
– Many private institutes accept JEE Mains scores or conduct their own entrance exams.
-
State Engineering Colleges
– Some state-level colleges have lower cutoffs, and you may get admission based on
state quota
.
-
Direct Admission
– Some private universities offer
management quota seats
without a high JEE rank.

My obc paper is not making in my village they are not making now but I have to submit registration form nd I have to forcefully fill in general what can I do??
Hello Riya,
If your
OBC certificate
is not being issued in your village and you have to
submit the registration form
, you have the following options:
Possible Solutions:
-
Apply from Another Office:
Try getting your certificate from the
district headquarters
or a nearby town where they are issuing OBC certificates.
-
Use an Old Certificate:
If you or your family have an
old OBC certificate
, check if it can be renewed or used as proof.
-
Get a Temporary Affidavit:
Some institutions allow submission of an
affidavit
stating that your OBC certificate is under process.
-
Contact Authorities:
Speak to the
college/university admission office
and explain your situation. They may provide an
extension
or allow you to submit the certificate later.
- Proceed with General Category: If you have no other option, you may apply under the General category for now. If the institution allows updates later, you can try submitting the OBC certificate when available.
It’s best to
urgently contact local authorities
and request assistance in getting your OBC certificate issued.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

With 77 percentile in jee mains,Being general non hs , Can I get into ECE or EEE . I am fine with any Nits or Iiits
Hello Tanishk,
With a 77 percentile in JEE Mains as a General category, non-home state candidate, securing admission in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at National Institutes of Technology (NITs) or Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) is challenging. However, you might consider the following government engineering colleges :-
- College of Engineering and Management, Kolaghat (West Bengal): Offers ECE and Electrical Engineering programs.
- Darbhanga College of Engineering (Bihar): Provides Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- Jawaharlal Nehru Government Engineering College (Himachal Pradesh): Offers ECE programs.
- Shershah Engineering College (Bihar): Provides Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- Supaul College of Engineering (Bihar): Offers ECE and Electrical Engineering programs.
- Motihari College of Engineering (Bihar): Provides Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Wishing you the best !
I got 77 percentile, Can I get ECE for general non Hs, I am Fine with any iiit or nit?
Hello Aspirant
With
77 percentile (General, Non-Home State)
in
JEE Mains
, getting
ECE in NITs or IIITs
is
very difficult
as the cutoffs for these institutes are usually much higher (above 90 percentile for General).
Chances in NITs & IIITs:
1. NITs
– Unlikely, even in lower NITs.
2. Top/Old IIITs
– No chance for ECE.
3. Newer IIITs (Low Chances)
– You may try in
IIIT Agartala, IIIT Bhagalpur, IIIT Bhopal, or IIIT Ranchi
in later rounds or
CSAB Special Rounds
.
Better Alternatives:
-
GFTIs (Government-Funded Technical Institutes)
– Some may have ECE seats available.
-
State Government Colleges
– Check your state's JEE-based counseling.
- Private Colleges – Institutes like LNMIIT, Shiv Nadar, UPES, SRM, and MIT Pune offer ECE with JEE scores.
If ECE is your priority,
re-attempting JEE in April
for a higher percentile is a good option.
