Cutoff for general category for b.pharmacy course

Sajal Trivedi 8th Oct, 2025

Hello aspirant,

There isn't a single cutoff for the B.Pharmacy program because it differs depending on the college, university, and entrance exam utilized for admission. It also depends on the year and the performance of the applicants.

To get the accurate information, I suggest you to provide me complete information so that I can help you better.

Thank you

Sir i belong to bc category, converted christian from schedule caste under serial 16 A .Im giving my jee exam this year.im confused in which reserved category I have to go through whether Obc or general ews . which gives scholarship benefits. In my OG certificate Bc is mentioned!

Prachi Kumari 11th Oct, 2025

Hello,

Since you belong to BC category as per your OG certificate but are a converted Christian from Scheduled Caste (serial 16A), you cannot claim SC reservation .

For JEE, reservation for OBC/BC is generally not available to converted Christians , and you can only appear under the General or General-EWS category (if your family income qualifies for EWS).

Most central scholarships for SC/OBC also do not apply to converted Christians, though some state governments provide special BC-Christian scholarships depending on the state.

Hope it helps !

As i belong to bc category, converted christian from schedule caste under 16 A .but my OG certificate is BC only . so i am giving my jee exam this year I dont know which community to be reserved whether General ews or obc - ncl to take ,diff btw them ,scholarship benefits which withhold my future

Ayush Madanpotra 7th Oct, 2025

You said you belong to the BC category, converted Christian from a Scheduled Caste background under 16A, and your community certificate is BC. You are giving the JEE exam and want to know which category you should choose and what benefits are there.

If you have a BC certificate, it means you are not eligible for the Scheduled Caste category now because after conversion to Christianity, SC reservation does not apply. So, in JEE or any central exam, you cannot use SC.

JEE and other central exams use the Central Government category list, not the state one. The Central categories are General, General-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, and ST.

The BC category used by your state is not always the same as OBC-NCL. You need to check if your BC community name appears in the Central OBC list. If it appears there, you can select OBC-NCL. If it is not in the Central OBC list, you must select either General or General-EWS, depending on your family income.

If your family income is below 8 lakh per year, and you do not belong to any reserved category, you can choose General-EWS. If your income is above that, you must select General.

The difference between OBC-NCL and General-EWS is that OBC-NCL students get 27 percent reservation in IITs, NITs, and IIITs, and they also get government scholarships. General-EWS students get 10 percent reservation and can apply for EWS scholarships. General students do not get reservation or category-based scholarships.

So, the steps are simple. Check if your community is listed in the Central OBC list. If it is there, choose OBC-NCL in your JEE form. If it is not there, see if you are eligible for EWS. Otherwise, choose General.

I belong to bc category,i gave my jee mains exam in past year .my cousin mistakenly applied it as general ews category. I am giving my exam this year now can i convert it into Obc or ews itself if I make it as obc will it become a issue in future.income is 2 lakh below sir Diff btw ews and obc

Chelsie G 30th Sep, 2025

Hi! Don’t worry, you can correct your category this year while filling out the JEE Main 2025 application form. If you belong to BC/OBC category and have the valid caste certificate, you can apply under OBC NCL now. It will not be a problem if last year you had applied as General/EWS, since each year’s application is considered separately.
OBC NCL is for candidates from socially and educationally backward communities (non creamy layer) with income below 8 lakh, while EWS is for students from the general category (not SC/ST/OBC) with family income below 8 lakh. Since your family income is less than 2 lakh and you are BC, applying under OBC NCL is the right choice and will give you reservation benefits.

Hello dear candidate,

With 390 marks in UP state AYUSH counselling with general category and did not get seat in round 1, you can wait for Mop-up round but chances of getting seat is very low or either you can get a private college immediately if you want to start this year.

Mtech Gate rank needed for admission to iit Madras for biotechnology for General category

Kashish Gautam 28th Sep, 2025

For admission to the M.Tech Biotechnology program at IIT Madras under the General category, candidates usually need a good GATE rank and score. Based on recent trends, the cutoff score has generally been in the range of 550 to 600 or above . In some years, the closing score has gone higher, depending on the number of applicants and seat availability. To be on the safer side, a GATE score of around 650+ is considered competitive for securing admission.

I want to join governmentB.A.M.S college My all india rank is 124558and my category is general suggest me govt college which I can get with this rank

Chelsie G 28th Sep, 2025

With an All India Rank of 124,558 in NEET (General category), getting a seat in a government BAMS college through All India Quota is unlikely. Your best chance is through state quota seats in states with more BAMS colleges. You can also consider private BAMS colleges. I’ll be attaching links from Careers360 where you can check previous cutoffs and admission details to plan your next steps.

Kya mera class 10th ma 46% percent hai aur ham CNET ka form fill kar skte general category ma aate h

Prachi Kumari 27th Sep, 2025

Hello,

Yes, you can fill the CNET form even if you have 46% in Class 10th.
There is no minimum percentage requirement in Class 10th for CNET.
Eligibility is mainly based on Class 12th subjects and marks.

Hope it helps !
