Bhu offers two streams for its bachelor in humanities subjects.
BA Arts offers humanities subjects+ Literature(Hindi,English,Urdu etc).Literature as a core subject, may be compulsory here.
BA Social Science offers humanities subjects only.Literature as a core subject, is not available here.
It means any student interested in literature should opt -BA Arts otherwise s/he is free to opt -BA SS.
Thank you.
Hey!
As long as you have cleared your class 12 board examinations, you can apply for additional subjects in the NIOS board while keeping your previous board certificate valid. The maximum number of subjects you can choose is seven but that is when you appear for complete exam. If you just want a few subjects and keep your previous marksheet valid then opt for just improvement exams.
Hope you are doing great ! If you have completed your graduation from history and geography and want to appear for uppcs then I confirm you that you can appear for uppcs because it requires only graduation and the age should not be less than 21 .So be focused and consistent towards your studies
Wishing you a very happy future!
Thanking you!

Shaheed Bhagat Singh (evening ) vs shivaji college
Shivaji college is one of the off-campus colleges which has actually came a long way. It recently got an 'A' accreditation from NAAC which is a really big deal. Located near Rajouri Garden, the campus is comfortably situated near malls, lounges and some eateries. The campus as such is not a regular Taj Mahal and is underwhelming to some, however, the campus is quite green and lush. The infrastructure is good with well-maintained laboratories and class-rooms. The sports complex is quite magnificent and the cultural society is also good. Library is quite big and we'll maintained with quite an academic collection however, finding a nice leisure book is difficult. The canteen is small and good with quite a few delicacies. In the end, the college is moderate with some glitz and glamour here and there.
whereas comparison with shivaji college.
Shaheed Bhagat Singh college has brand value, active societies, and overall good development. The placements are good in this college. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 19 LPA. In this college, there is a two-floor library, a big playground, lawns, and gardens to hanging out. The canteen is very good, and the food served is very decent. The location of the college is good, and the Chirag Delhi metro station is very near. The classroom is well ventilated and provides enough light. Although there is no air-conditioned classroom, Rs 8,000 is paid per year for this classroom which is a luxury.
lastly i didn't find anything bad about these two colleges but as per reviews from du students shivaji college is better option.
Hope this helps!!
