Yes that's true. Economic geography is not a branch of Physical geography.
Physical geography more or less comprises of the factors that play crucial role in establishing the earth like the climate, weather and many more.
Whereas Human geography helps one in explaining how humans deal with the environment. Economic geography comes under the same branch as it helps in understanding how human being spend money.

If you arent comfortable with completing MA Course and parallely prepare for UPSC CSE, I would suggest you to completely take a break and dedicate your time for UPSC Preparation. Otherwise, you may continue with MA Geography and parallely give time for UPSC Preparation. Secondly, I would advise you to try securing a University in an around Delhi NCR for MA preferably, since thatll just give a Boost to your UPSC/PCS Preparation. Being located near UPSC Coaching Hubs, Study Circles and excellent Preparation and Test Centres.
