Hi,
Candidates who have completed 12th board from a recognized institute with a minimum average of 50% marks are eligible to apply for Bachelor's degree in Geography in Women's Christian College, Kolkata.
The cut-off cannot be exactly predicted as the scores vary every year depending on the board of exam & this time, there's a confusion with the marks obtained by students of every board. Having said that, more than 90% aggregate in 12th board exam is always considered to be safe but if you are eligible for applying then do apply to the college & wait for the merit list & the counselling process to begin. Scores of all the other students who have applied for the same course are compared & in case of any tie, marks of Geography is considered then rechecked so you might have a strong chance of getting a seat irrespective of getting an average below 90%, as the case may be.
Hope this helps.

Hi aspirant,
As of now, there is no jobs in geography only based on 12th. You need to have an under graduate degree to get a job.
IN todays time, the minimum qualification you need to get a job, in any field, any subject is to have at least a degree or diploma.
I would suggest you to pursue a degree of your interest and then search for a job.
Hope that helps.
Hello Aspirant,
On such percentage it would be quite difficult for you to get any college of DU for BA in Geography because the cut-off percentage varies above 95% even for OBC category in the colleges of DU for aforesaid course.
Also your best four marks would be considered for admission in DU for BA in Geography course and if you don't know ho it is calculated then just go through the given information :
-->> Marks one language and three academic/elective subjects are taken into consideration.
-->> The three academic/elective subject includes -
** One subject in which admission is sought.
** If you don't mention the same subject in your best 4 in which admission is sought then a disadvantage of 2.5% will be applicable, for admissions in Honours programme.
-->> Two academic/ elective subjects from List A* and in case you do not include the two subjects in best 4 from Liste A* then you will get -2.5% on your total best 4 percentage.
-->> The subjects included in the calculation of ‘Best of Four’ must have at least 70% theory component and in case the criteria does not met then the marks of theory and practical shall be converted into 70% and 30% on pro rata basis.
