Does any NIT offer bsc with geology. please! tell me...

Anushri Varshney 19th Jun, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Sorry to say but there is no single NIT that offers BSC and MSC courses. If you are comfortable with a dual degree program then you can apply for NIT as well as for IIT to pursuing BSC+ MSC together. Also for the information, the Program is applied for only three branches I.e; Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The institutions which offer such courses are:

  • IIT KHARAGPUR offers an integrated course in Applied Geology.
  • IIT KANPUR offer the course in MATHEMATICS and Scientific Computing.

Hope you understand well.

Thank you

Anurag Khanna 18th Jun, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Unfortunately no NITs offer Geology course for B.Sc and M.Sc. but if you want to do B.Sc and M.Sc Dual degree course from NIT then you can do so only from three branches that are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and Computing.

If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2020 then according to the percentile mentioned by you in the question your rank is expected to be in the range of 143220 - 161000 , you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

On such rank you can get NIT Agartala if and only if you deserves Home state quota for it but if you don't deserves Home state quota then you have to try for some private colleges or you can improve your percentile in further attempts of JEE-Main 2021 upto around 92+ percentile or more and also if you belongs to General category then also you can get NIT Agartala.

You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
