I have graduation in Bsc geology and after that I have post graduation in M.A. in Political Science and also qualified NET and SET for Assistant Professor in Political Science. Is there any issue of getting job of Assistant Professor in Political Science because of M.A. after bsc?

Shweta Goel 31st Jul, 2021

Hello aspirant,

No there is absolutely no problem in doing Bachelor's in science and then applying for lecturer in universities.

The eligibility criteria for assistant professor is

  • The candidates should possess the SET/SLET, NET certificate and have a Masters degree in the required field.
  • A minimum of 55% marks is required at the post-graduation level.

In your case you have masters in political science hence you are eligible to become assistant professor for political science or related subjects.

I hope this information helps. Good luck.

Im in 1st year bsc with geology and geography and not the other three sub i.e, pcb in bsc.......but i had my pcb in 12th can i appear neet?......and if yes which code(neet) should i use in neet registration?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 26th Jul, 2021

Hi

Yes, you can appear in neet provided you must h ave passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology /biotechnology in 12th examination  if belongs to general category , or   at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st category.

For detailed information about neet examination go through our page for which link is provided below; -

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-eligibility-criteria

You need to choose the code 02.

This is because,

Though you are doing bsc geology your highest qualification with all the three subjects i. e physics chemistry and Biology /biotechnology remains 10 + 2  .

While, those who have passed 1st year of 3 year degree/graduation course with all the three subject i. e physics chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology needs to select code 5 and those who have completed BSc with at least any two of physics chemistry and Biology in their bsc need to select code 6.

Hello,

The eligibility criteria of Joint MSc- PhD Geology through IIT JAM offered by IIT-KGP and IIT-BBS is passed having studied geology in all the three years of graduation along with any three amongst mathematics/physics/biological science/chemistry, and along with this it's imperative  to have studied mathematics at 10+2 level, if you don't fulfill the above mentioned criteria then you're not eligible for MSc Geology, you should look out for courses that go with your subject combinations/stream at 10+2 or graduation level, to know more details regarding this, visit our page at https://university.careers360.com/articles/jam-eligibility-criteria

I have Botony, Zoology and Geology in my first year of BSC. Result not declared till now, which code should I use for NEET 2021 .. 02 OR 05

Akash Singh 19th Jul, 2021

Hi Sona,

It should be 2. Let me explain why this is the case.

Your highest qualification will be declared qualified for NEET if your degree contains Physics, Chemistry, and Biology; otherwise, your highest qualification will be the one you completed in class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Though you are pursuing a BSC, but BSC does not include all three subjects of physics, chemistry, and biology, and because the qualification for NEET is all subjects including physics, chemistry, and biology, your highest qualification will be 12th grade, which you completed with PCB and English.

So according to this rule, your code will be 2.

According to code 2, all the students who have passed class 12th in 2020 or in past year, then they come under code 2.

So you should fill code 2.

For more information about NEET codes, you can go through the link below.

I have Bio , Zoology and Geology in my first year which code should i use for NEET

Megha Bele 19th Jul, 2021

Hi aspirant

hope you are doing absolutely fine

As per your details, candidates who have successfully passed the first year of degree course from a recognized University with subjects being Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Biotechnology inclusive of practical tests in all these subjects can opt for code 5.

You can go for code 5,as you are in the first year with atleast 2 subjects common. Also, you must clear your 10 + 2 with subjects like biology, chemistry and physics. then only you are eligible to write NEET.

ALL THE BEST

HOPE IT HELPS.

Hello, Im a first year student and our result has not been declared yet. Im doing bsc in zoology botany and geology. Which code to use to apply for neet 2021?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 14th Jul, 2021
Hi

You need to choose the code 02.

This is because,

Though you are doing BSc your highest qualification with all the three subjects i. e physics chemistry and Biology remains 10 + 2 as you don't have physics in your bsc

Code 2 is for all those who have already passed 12th/ 10+2 in 2020 or before with physics chemistry biology English .

While those who are doing bsc and have all the 3 i. e physics, chemistry and biology in bsc needs to choose code 5 and those who have completed bsc with at least any two out of physics, chemistry and Biology in their bsc need to select code 6.
