I believe youre referring to wrong UPSC Examinations. UPSC is the Commission which conducts multiple Examinations. One of them is UPSC Civil Services Examination, which you may prepare for besides targetting other entrance exams like State PCS and many others. suchayitaanusaha 26th Sep, 2021

Hello,

Geology is very interesting subject. This is specially study on earth. So you can go far from this subject. You can be a geologist after completing your masters degree and you can research also.

Jadavpur University is the government University in West Bengal. It's present in kolkata..and yes it's definitely good.

And st Xavier's College Mumbai also good college. Now choice is yours. If you are stay in West Bengal then choose Jadavpur but if you want to explore yourself then go Mumbai.

All the best.

Hi i m javaid i have qualified my 12th class exam with pcmb and now i m doing bsc in non med with physics , math, geology is i m eligible for neet and which subject code i have to choose in neet application

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 16th Aug, 2021

Hi

Yes , you are eligible for appearing in NEET  examination.

This is because,

There is no rule which says that if you are doing BSC non medical  or any graduation you become ineligible for Neet examination, as to be eligible for neet what all one needs is :

* to must have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got:-

  • at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology  in 12th examination  if belongs to general category

  • at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st category

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

So, if you fulfill this requirement  as per your category then you are definitely eligible for Neet  examination ,even if you are doing bsc non medical right now and after qualifying Neet examination you can get admission in medical colleges for MBBS etc on the basis of rank or marks obtained by you in NEET

Also,

*there is no upper age limit for Neet examination

For detailed information about neet examination go through our page forl which link is provided below; -

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-eligibility-criteria

Coming to which code you should select:-

You should choose code 2.

This is because,

Though you are doing bsc non medical,  your highest qualification with all the three i. e physics chemistry and Biology/ biotechnology remains 10 + 2 so you should choose code 2 as :-

it is for all those who have already passed 10+2 with physics chemistry and Biology / biotechnology and meet neet eligibility criteria i. e at least 50 % in pcb for general or 40 % in pcb for obc/sc/st  and  are either not pursuing graduation or pursuing graduation but doesn't have either physics or chemistry or biology / biotechnology  all of these three in their graduation

For neet codes refer :-

Thank you

Is maths compulsory for geology honours in bsc

suchayitaanusaha 6th Aug, 2021

Hello,

It's not necessary for mathematics in geology honours. Geology is study of solid earth, rock composed, processing etc. So the main subject always mathematics, physics and chemistry but some PCB like physics chemistry and biology students also join geology honours. But the main problem without mathematics you can't allow some examinations like IIT jam, ISM etc. But you can eligible for GATE examination. So yes mathematics is not necessary but if present then opportunity become more. In India so many colleges are offered for this course I'll provide you a link below you can check it for more details about the college

I have graduation in Bsc geology and after that I have post graduation in M.A. in Political Science and also qualified NET and SET for Assistant Professor in Political Science. Is there any issue of getting job of Assistant Professor in Political Science because of M.A. after bsc?

Shweta Goel 31st Jul, 2021

Hello aspirant,

No there is absolutely no problem in doing Bachelor's in science and then applying for lecturer in universities.

The eligibility criteria for assistant professor is

  • The candidates should possess the SET/SLET, NET certificate and have a Masters degree in the required field.
  • A minimum of 55% marks is required at the post-graduation level.

In your case you have masters in political science hence you are eligible to become assistant professor for political science or related subjects.

I hope this information helps. Good luck.
