what is the duration of MBA in Germany - MBA is difficult or easy - fees structure - stay cost - expenses cost - A to Z total cost

Smeet Almeida 13th May, 2020

Greetings, aspirant!

Germany is the largest economy in Europe and offers much more immigration friendly laws as compared to USA.

The duration of full-time MBA in Germany can last anywhere between 12-24 months depending on your university, state norms, specialization choices and such. You can opt for part time MBA as well if you're a working class individual in which case, your classes are held in the evenings and/or weekends.

Some of the best Universities for MBA in Germany include:-

  • Manheim University :- the MBA program in Manheim spans over 24 months and the fee structure stands at around 3.5 lakh rupees for the first year
  • Leipzig University :- the MBA program in Leipzig spans over 2 years as well and fees structure stands at 50.3k for the first year.
  • Technical university of Munich :- the MBA program of TUM spans over 2 years and the fee structure is a bit hefty at 25.7L for the first year.
  • EU business school (Germany) :- the MBA program here spans over 1 year and costs about 23L for the first year.

The living cost in Germany depends on your lifestyle preferences as well as the area of accomodation as apartments in major cities cost substantially more than those in the outskirts.

The eligibility criteria for applying in a German Based University is different for each University. However, the common tests include IELTS, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL etc.

Hope this information helped you!

Best of Luck!

BCA+MCA BCA+MBA (which specialisation is best for future) BCA+MS which is best for future *i can do masters in Germany

rehan18alam Student Expert 12th May, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

All the streams you have mentioned have a good career with the following equation:-

BCA+MBA( IIMs/FMS) == BCA+ MS(foreign) > > BCA + MCA

If you do your mba from a top institute or go for masters from Germany then surely you will have a good career as compared to doing MCA.

The difference is in MBA you will make a career in finance or managment roles while in MS you make career in tech field.

Hope this helps. Thank you.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 6th May, 2020

Manu, different Universities have different Eligibility criteria, But Germany being one of the best countries for studies, their eligibility criteria is different. While it is not mandatory to have work experience to study your MBA, Candidates out up additional work experience, to build their profile to meet the Standards of the University they want to apply. Again this is not mandatory.

sir, I want to pursue MBA programme from Germany and currently, I am also learning german. Our family is middle class so, will it be very difficult for a middle-class family to handle all the expenses studying in Germany or will it be affordable.

Smeet Almeida 6th May, 2020

Greetings,

Germany's national currency is the euro and depending on the university you apply to, the fees can range anywhere between £20k-£25k.

The fee structure is high as most MBA courses are provided my private universities and not state-run universities. However, the passing percent is very high in such universities.

Compared to USA, the fee structure is lower. However, the number of well ranking universities is relatively low. Frankfurt school of finance and management , Manheim school etc. are some of the globally recognised Universities.

Hope this helped,

Good luck!

is mba in industrial management good in terms of job prospects, from esslingen University of applied sciences , Germany?

Sk Student Expert 4th Jun, 2020

The University that you have chosen is currently ranked 116 in Germany and World Wide – 2797.  So from a University perspective, your choice is fine.

A point to note always is that; it is not the profession that guarantees success in your career but your talent, passion and the keenness to keep on learning is what will give you longevity in the work place.

Next is understanding, the challenges that will happen in ‘Industrial Management’.  Man is giving way to machines in the industrial workplace and automation is a reality. So the mechanization of factories and industrial houses will keep on gathering momentum till man is there only for core functions and the rest is automated.  Please incorporate Industrial Automation as part of your learning process, so that you are ready for the challenges of tomorrow.

Good Luck
