The decision to follow a particular career path is entirely dependent on you, no one else can decide that for you, if you feel that you want to try for government jobs then you should definitely give it a try, as the cases with most government jobs they do have specific age limit especially for UR candidate, hence if you want to go ahead then you should definitely, today whatever exam you name it UPSC, SSC CGL, banking or insurance whatever it is, innumerable number of candidates apply for the post, the competition is quite fierce, so it's very important that you are focused and dedicated, many a times it so happens that candidates cannot qualify in the first attempt, and what matters at that point is perseverance, the main criteria for government job is financial security irrespective of the job profile, yes there may be an interest towards working in specific area, but that's secondary, hence it's something that you decide if you have entrepreneurial spirit and you want to work on your own, then that path will also not be easy, failure is unavoidable but eventually what matters is you tried, you are working towards your dreams whatever it is, so take the decision as per your preference.
Railways recruits diploma holders in Electrical and Mechanical streams in large numbers followed by Civil engineering. There are many PSUs which recruits diploma holders depending upon the business they do.

A Pharmacy business gives you a lot of money which will not be fixed nor certain.
So its upto you what you want to do.If you care for only money then go business but If you feel like serving your nation then go for UPSC CSE. Pharmacy business is also a great work for the society but its not like Civil Services.
