Harvard architecture in computer organisation

Nitin Mereddy 2nd Sep, 2021

In a normal computer that follows von Neumann architecture, instructions and data both are stored in same memory. So same buses are used to fetch instructions and data. This means CPU cannot do both things together (read a instruction and read/write data).Harward Architecture is the computer architecture that contains separate storage and separate buses (signal path) for instruction and data. It was basically developed to overcome the bottleneck of Von Neumann Architecture. The main advantage of having separate buses for instruction and data is that CPU can access instructions and read/write data at the same time.

aditya 10th Apr, 2021

Hello P.bharat kumar

I hope you are doing good . I would like to know you that the procedure in getting admission in foreign universities is very different then getting admission in universities of india . Like in india ,foreign university dont give admission to students based marks scored in 10to12 or score in ug . Though its marks are considered but percentage of consideration is very low .Admission are basically given to students based on their profile that what you will give to their university and their country . Following are the factors which are considered.

1. Letter of recommendation

2. Statement of purpose

3. Academics score

4. Work experience

5. Score of language proficieny test

Try to build your profile and aims for other universities if you failed to get admission in harvard , cambridge so that your year can be saved

Hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future

i have completed my 12th with 60% marks ..i wanna know am i eligible for harvard medical school to pursue mbbs?

myidshivanisrivastava 20th Dec, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Harvard Medical School (HMS) is Harvard University’s graduate medical school. It is situated in the Mission Hill neighborhood’s Longwood Medical Area in Boston, Massachusetts. Founded in 1782, HMS is one of America’s oldest medical schools and ranked first among research-oriented medical schools in the U.S. rankings for 2020 by the news and the report of the world.

The eligibility criteria for Indian students to get through Harvard Medical School are as follows:

  • Minimum 85% in State board 10+2 level
  • Minimum 70% in CBSE/ ICSE levels
  • Early bird application to the University

Thus, I do not think you will be eligible for admission to HMS according to your marks in 10+2.

Hope this answers your question. Feel free to ask more questions.

All the best!!

apeksha150598 7th Nov, 2020
Hello Harish,

To get admission in foreign universities such as Harvard University, Stanford University and Oxford University, you wil have to give GRE and TOEFL exams.
They also take into consideration your CGPA during your graduation years. These universities require you to be in the top of your classes.
Since your CGPA in your graduation has been very low, you will have to score very high in exams such as ACT, SAT, GRE and TOEFL.
