There is no difference between two roles in career wise except salary wise. BSc agriculture officer salary offered by the companies will start from 15000/- to 50000/- per month and BSc horticulture officer salary offered by the companies will start from 15000/- to 25000/- per month.

BSc agriculture:

Agriculture is one of the highest industries across the country. You will get government jobs through this course in anywhere in India with highest package up to 15lacks per year. It produces the quality food with good farming services.

BSc horticulture:

This is the main stream in agriculture and it is included with fruits, vegetables, flowers. You can also get government jobs in this with highest package of 9 lacks per year.

Career wise both are better but salary wise BSc agriculture is best. You know horticulture is one of the highest stream in agriculture.

How many exams are there after Bsc (Hons)Horticulture to get admission in MBA?

Ashish Ramtari 13th Dec, 2021

Master of business administration in horticulture can be pursued for two years duration. There are two types of modes for admissions in Indian colleges and Universities. The most basic admission criteria is to give entrance exam of CAT (Common Entrance Test). The other mode of admission is on the basis of merit scores achieved by the students in the previous qualifying examination. Amity University and graphic Era University are two popular universities which provide admissions on the basis of merit scores.

i have secured47000ranking in kcet obc category shall i get horticulture agri or forestry

ASMITA HAZRA 9th Dec, 2021

Hello student

Well I think 47000 rank is tad bit difficult for a seat in bsc horticulture or bsc agriculture or forestry .

Even though you fall in obc category still then it is difficult for you to get admission in any of the 3 courses. So either you have to apply for any other course or try and give the exam next year.

All the best!

Hope it helps

I got 12522 rank in ap Eapcet, Is there any chances to get Government Horticulture seat?

Sumedha Bhattacharya 6th Dec, 2021

Dear Student ,

As per 2019 cut off for Acharya N.G Ranga Agricultural University through AP EAMCET , you have less chances to get seat in Open category(as you haven't mentioned your caste category):

the cut off details for B.Sc Horticulture in this University is as follows :

  • 4649 - UR
  • 8902-AU region
  • 9055-SVU region

But , the cut off can vary each year due to some factors like seat capacity , difficulty level of questions etc.

You can check details about AP EAMCET exam as well as cut off details more briefly from this link:
