On campus placement in University of Horticulture Science, Bagalkot, record is not too good. Most of the students opt for higher studies like MSc in Agriculture.

So, if you have been allotted Horticulture university in first allotment than you can put all the agriculture universities that you wish to apply to up as your preference in second allotment. Not many Agricultural universities allow non agriculture background students to pursue MSc in Agriculture. Assam Agricultural University Jorhat of lately has started incorporating non Agriculture background students in MSc courses specially in Agricultural Biotechnology department. For that you need to appear for an entrance test followed by an interview. Once you get enrolled you have to go through some basic courses in pure Agriculture called Bridge courses alongwith your normal courses in order to be at par with the Agriculture background students since they have spent four years in graduation instead of three as in case of yours. So it does on individual colleges. Try checking into eligibility of each college.
