Hello there, aspirant!
Congratulations on your 178.25 score. Although you have a decent score, you will not be able to pursue B.Sc Agriculture at the main TNAU campus in Coimbatore. There are still seats available in the 15 component government colleges and the 28 connected private colleges.
According to your cutoff score and previous year's cutoff, the opening and closing cutoff scores for Tamil Nadu Agricultural University are 189 and 175, respectively. As a result, getting into this college may be challenging.
Depending on the availability of seats and the number of students who prefer TNAU, the cutoff may fall below 175 in some cases. However, a score of 150 is insufficient for admission to this college.

See both of the courses are very good and if you expect a good job in the private sector then you need to have a MSc in the field. Now if you want to go for the discipline related government job then I would recommend you to go for BSc in Agriculture. In central government as well as in state government, in both cases the job vacancies are more for Agricultural graduates as Food Inspector, Seed Corporation officer etc.
